Great, cozy and peaceful to stay. Very relaxing. The staff are very nice, helpful and respectful. Bed matress may need upgrading. But overall it's great to stay here.
Came to stay here with my parents the night before my wedding as the venue was close. Location is absolutely beautiful. Was rather stormy so couldn't use all the outside spaces, which was a shame. Only downsides were the shower drain was blocked in the double bedroom, so it kept overflowing while washing my hair. Only solution was to keep switching the water off. Second downside was that the bed was so insanely soft that it actually started to hurt my back from lack of support, so ended up sleeping on the floor with only a blanket over me. Not the best night before a wedding as I hardly got any sleep at all. Even my parents in the second bedroom couldn't sleep as their bed was also not great. Super disappointing as the place showed so much potential otherwise.
Amazing romantic getaway. Spent the weekend after the wedding down the road.
Absolutely beautiful cottage! If the scenery doesn't sell you the inside if the cottage will; not only is it a stunning sight with the decor, outside Bath (absolutely incredile) and amazing tasting DIY breakfast, but the owners are incredible people too! Our wedding was cancelled 2 days before it was supposed to happen due to the 2nd Lockdown of NZ, everyone was so gutted for us while we frantically called all our vendors to postpone. Jennifer was incredible in moving our dates and making sure when we did finally arrive, everything was perfect. A really big thank you for all you did, you made our 2nd attempt special.
Perfect little cottage for a romantic escape, completely private and the best escape into a quiet, stunning location. Lovely views of the trees and lake. Highly recommend adding this location to your bucket lists. If you want tranquility, relaxation and beautiful surrounds this is the place to be!

Amazing get away mid week for couples or that romantic get away, everything you could possibly need is though of or sorted by your hosts with minimal input, once they knew I had issues upstepping they added extra mats for my convenience, absolutely nothing was a bother they couldnt sort, showers were bliss, kitchen was great to spoil hubby with a homecooked meal and the decks are fabulous for enjoyment at different times of the day, the outdoor bath is just bliss, we highly recommend you take a few days relaxing at rose bud, I look forward to next years visit
One if the most beautiful and peaceful stays I've had. Brings you back to the simplicities of life. Total relaxation. I couldn't believe it was only minutes from crazy Auckland life!! Will def be staying here again
