I so want to keep this a secret, so when I want to book again I can get in! But it is too good not to spread the word. Deer Cottage, I knew it would be good when I booked for a girlfriend & I, but it was so much more than I had imagined, it was paradise. Angela is great with communications and making sure you have everything you need/want. The peacefulness, the view, the pool, the amenities, the food for breakfast....everything was perfect. Will definitely be back, just hope I can get in.
Lovely place just outside of Auckland. Stunning view and nice little garden courtyard, the spa pool and pool area was great. The rooms are spacious and very pretty. There are lots of little touches that the lovely host Angela has put in place like chocolates on the bed, homemade breakfast options and all the cooking utensils you might need including a little hob and pots and pans. Would highly recommend.
Loved it, loved it, loved it. A Deer Cottage, is somewhere special to be with someone special. The host could not have been more welcoming, providing everything we needed. WIshed we had more time to do everything on offer. WIll be back!

A Deer Cottage will be one of those places I will always remember. Very peaceful and relaxing with amazing views of the Kaipara Harbour. All those extra unexpected little touches provided by our kind hosts, including the use of their spa and swimming pool. Informative about the area we were visiting and were available if we needed anything but respected our privacy. I would definitely stay here again, and have no hesitation in recommending A Deer Cottage to anyone visiting this area. Exceptional value for what you receive. I sincerely wish Angela and Te Kani all the best and thank them for going that extra mile!
What a treasure A Deer Cottage is, tucked away near Kaukapakapa at the end of a quiet cul de sac, overlooking the Kaipara Harbour. The cottage has lovely sea views and affords amazing sunsets and stunning sunrises. Immaculately presented with high-end boutique furnishings, linen, towels, beds, bathrobes and so much more..... I enjoyed a beautiful selection of gluten and dairy free breakfast items to suit my allergies including cereal, bread, spread, milk alternative, yoghurt, fresh fruit bowl, home-made jams, fresh fruit juice, wine and individual chocolates. Nothing was too much for Angela, and she personally greeted us and made sure everything was perfect. This is good old fashioned service at a really reasonable price. Making people happy, welcome and comfortable is Angela's passion. She really exceled on all levels. You owe it to yourself to check out A Deer Cottage.
Stayed here 2 nights for my wedding at Waterfall Farm nearby. The accommodation is beautiful with lots of thoughtful touches throughout, Angela and Te Kani are both extremely friendly and welcoming and the views are to die for. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for accommodation in the area.
A must-stay for anyone holidaying North of Auckland and wants a delightful place to stay. Superbly decorated inside and out and full of little extras. The cottage was beautifully clean and the aroma as you walked in the living area was so welcoming. It comes with great views from the top of a hill out to the sea. Highly recommend home made pizzas too, they were “yummo”! Thank you Angela for being a great hostess.
