A succulent Korean Meal. Chicken Salt as their chosen seasoning for their chips as well which is a bonus. Best KFC I’ve had ever I’d say. I got Half a Soy Chilli flavoured chicken in boneless pieces and Chups.
This is and always has been my favourite Dakogi store, the workers are always very kind and have even remade one of my orders due to it having peanuts (which they no longer include by default now). The tables sometimes might be dirty but even if you ask to wipe it yourself they will beat you to it. Food is cooked very fresh and fast as apposed to other Dakogi stores. Pricing is pretty average for fried chicken being around $15 - $25 per person.
Food Quality & Taste The restaurant is often praised as one of the best for Korean food, though, to be fair, it feels more like average fast food, comparable to KFC. The chicken itself was well-prepared—tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. However, the sweetness level was higher than expected, which might not suit all palates. Ambiance & Space The dining area is quite small, which may affect comfort, especially during busy hours. Service The staff is friendly and welcoming, contributing positively to the overall experience. Value for Money Prices are on the expensive side, which may not align with the fast-food-style experience.
One of my favourite places to eat in Browns Bay, I’ve been a regular customer for quite some time and always get the same order. The chicken is always fresh, never dry and super tasty. I always add onion powder to my chips as it gives so much flavour. The store is always neatly presented, very clean and the owner is super lovely. Good prices and great portion size. Highly recommend Dakogi! 10/10
Dakogi korean fried chicken is one of the top out there. Has a variety of different flavours you can choose from and other sides like cheese balls (which you rarely find at any other korean fried chicken restaurant). But most of all the service was my favourite part of visiting this restaurant. The staff is very friendly and their customer service will not disappoint you. Highly recommend giving this place a visit
Dakogi is one of the best Korean chicken places to go to in Auckland. I had ordered a variety of different flavors of the boneless chicken and all of them were very good, personally I would recommend the soy garlic chicken. The chicken is very crispy on the outside and very juicy in the inside. We also had the cheese balls and they are very generous with the cheese filling and it had a very nice chewy texture would definitely recommend.
21/07/23 Went again. The ladies were so polite. They made a mistake and delayed my order a bit which I didn't mind at all. But they apologized many time. Food was still yummy and my girls liked it too. 15/07/23 First time try. Added to my takeaways list.
The best Korean style fried chicken that I have tried in Auckland. Authentic Korean style chicken and the store is very clean and stylish. The owner is very friendly and the customer service was spot on! Would highly recommend !!
Ordered half Hot & Spicy Fried Dak and portions are huge! Love the taste with a hint of spicy on the batter but not so much spicy. I ordered extra volcano Spicy sauce which was good to dip in. Will be visiting again for sure.
