I could have eaten pot after pot of fresh steamy mussels with rich and flavorsome broth! Great price. 1 pot feeds 2 easily!
Better go there when less people, food tasty, just the mussels are slightly overcooked, but understandable. The 3rd pot we have was way better. Service was good. Beer in good quality. Enjoyed!
ordered chicken schnitzel with mushroom sauce literally came with one quarter slice of a mushroom, the sauce itself tasted like straight cream. Chicken tasted very chemically and chips unseasoned. Been here a few times and never had an issue with the food like this. Definitely not coming back. The schnitzel was $32 and manager only gave me $4 off the bill? Absolutely unacceptable as I barely touched any of it.
Amazing service from the waiters. Restaurant atmosphere was so good, nice and classy. I ordered seafood chowder with garlic bread but it tasted more like garlic cream with tiny, tiny pieces of seafood.. .. beers was wonderful and cocktails were tasty. food rated down below. Steak and mash was -1000/10. Mash is powdered mash. Not tasty at all. Cherry beer 10/10. Burger with fries 2.5/10. Burgers tasted old. garlic bread 4.5/10. Seafood chowder 1.5/10 Cocktails 10/10
This is a restaurant I’ve loved for many years. Every time I feel like having a beer and mussels, this is the first place that comes to mind. The tap beer is my favorite, and the mussels are always fresh and delicious. I had a great time on Mother’s day here again. Highly recommended!
The seafood chowder and the salad are great. It’s a shame they didn’t have the steamed mussels today instead we have to order the baked one which is really garlic flavored. Next time we have to try the steamed ones.
We weren’t let down by the mussels, which are renowned for this restaurant. Service was prompt and effective.
Food was terrible, they forgot what I ordered and still tried to argue. Quality and size of food is similar to frozen food. As soon as I arrived the bar tender told me at least 4 times that there would be an hour wait on food, despite looking like a slow day! Pretty sure he just wanted to avoid dealing with another order. After that food arrived in 30min. Where no cutlery was provided and the bar tender seemed doing nothing to assist with pointing me in the right direction. I'd recommend elsewhere for food
Overall not a bad experience. Mussels were good, steak was a bit on the tough side. Edible just a little chewy. Atmosphere was lively, busy, service was excellent.
Place has lots of character and great beer selection . $15 fish n chip special was good value, and was mostly great but fish slightly underdone. Apart from that meal was great, and mixed mussel platter was interesting but good!
