Got a mince and cheese pie, right away noticed the pastry was very soft, like it has been microwaved, no crisp at all. Started eating pie, found centre of pie unheated, they offered to heat it up for me and put it in the microwave, ended up with very hot outside and still not that hot middle. Never had a pie like that from a lunchbar/bakery only old gas station pies back in the day. Definitely not recommended. Wish me luck tomorrow!
Quick spot to grab a bite. Located in industrial area so limited food choices. Lots of prepared food (salad, chicken, chips, snacks, soda/pop) for quick take a way or order from menu. Friendly service.
Good selection of breakfast and lunch food and a really good fruit cup. Good value for money. Everyone here works so hard and great opening hours from 5am M-F, perfect for those of us who start work early. Friendly service and a good coffee too. Rennie Drive Lunchbar is part of my morning routine now, great way to start the day.
Bacon Egg & Cheese pie is a must have. Wide range of food from Sandwiches to Hot Meals and to Sushi. They also do food catering. Friendly and efficient service.
A lunch bar is a lunch bar. It focuses on pre cooked fried food, pies, and sandwiches. There is good variety, within the limitations described. The quality is OK, but not great...mushy spring rolls and pretty ordinary sandwiches. I will return when I'm hungry, but there is no compelling reason to do so. The 4 stars are lunch bar stars.
Myself and a mate have ben eating here frequently (2-3 days a week the past 2 years or so) and love the chilled atmosphere and staff. Quality lunch bar food with options to create your own (I order egg white omelette in the morning after the gym) - overall one of my favourite places to eat in the Airport Area!
