   The worst customer service from the reception staff I have ever experienced - from both myself and my husband who has been calling every day for weeks to try to get an appointment with a doctor. I myself had an appointment - checked in when I arrived and waited almost an hour past my allocated time. Turns out the reception staff had not let the Dr know I was there and I had to leave to return to work, and not get my appointment that I had paid for. The Doctors and Nurses are fabulous, but it is impossible to get to see them. The reception staff are incompetent. I do not recommend signing up here. I don't like leaving bad reviews, but this has become ridiculous.

   I’ve been with southpoint family doctors for a couple of years now and they have always been great with looking after both the kids and us parents. However recently it’s become very difficult to get an appointment. I’ve often been told to call back each day to check for availability and when I ask about booking in advance for the following week I’m told they’re already fully booked and same as the following week and reminded again to keep calling daily. Each call can mean waiting up to half an hour on hold. Unfortunately it no longer feels like I can rely on this clinic as they always seem too busy to provide the same level of care as before. Update edit: Thank you for taking the time to follow up with me after my review. I appreciate the concern shown and the effort to provide additional options when an appointment isn’t available. I was reassured that patient care is still a top priority. Thank you for the support provided.

   Scheduled a phone appointment early last week for today at 11:45am. 15 minutes later I call the drs to double check my appointment because I still haven’t received a phone call. They said the dr was running behind schedule with another patient and it won’t be too long. So then 2hrs pass and I still don’t receive a phone call back from the Dr so I call the reception once again and ask what happened and they reassured me the dr still has me on their schedule but is with a difficult patient at the moment and they will have a chat to them. I find it disheartening and very annoyed at the lack of time management and communication from the team. It seems that because it was a phone appointment, they just ignored it and ultimately forgot about it. They shouldn’t offer time slots or phone appointment options if they can’t manage the demand of the work it takes to arrange and deliver these appointments. I can understand a 30-1hr delay for extreme circumstances but 2hrs with no follow up or alternative is a shocking wait time especially because these are scheduled in advance appointments. Just as bad of an experience as going to local doctors.

   I’ve never experienced such a high level of care and kindness from an entire GP clinic. From the warm and helpful receptionists to the attentive nurses and especially the compassionate doctors, every visit has been truly positive. They handle urgent matters with both understanding and efficiency, and the staff consistently treats patients with respect and courtesy. It’s clear they strive to make everyone feel heard, valued, and genuinely cared for. Thank you for your outstanding service and the welcoming, inclusive environment you’ve created. I’m truly grateful knowing that my whole family is in such good hands!

   Great doctors but trying to get threw to them to make a appointment is absolutely ridiculous have rung twice in one morning to try make a appointment first time on hold for 10 mins second time ringing still on hold coming up to 8 mins answer the phones

   This place has absolutely atrocious customer service. The doctors and nurses are fine but the customer service to book in appointments and even calling is so bad. The receptionist is the WORST most of the time the phone doesn't get picked up they closed at 5:30pm but from 4pm the "sorry we are closed message is on" the receptionist 3 times i have been now has tried to charge me the wrong amount most of time she doesnt even know what she is doing and is slow

   Have been using south point for years would not go to another GP I’m not sure what staff are still onsite but the old team of Daniel Dr Hina and Dr shepherd are extremely kind and knowledgeable they do care about you Hopefully the current staff are living up to the values as I’m sure they are.

   My son is a patient at Southpoint Family Doctors and I wish I had enrolled him sooner. I am always able to get him an appointment the day before and sometimes even on the same day Not having to wait a week for an appointment like some GPs is great. The reception staff will always do their best to make it work and find us an appointment as soon as possible. Overall the staff are amazing, so friendly and accommodating, they even have bubbles available for children that are uneasy at the doctors which my son really loves. If you are looking for a new GP to enrol, Southpoint Family Doctors is honestly the best!

   Lovely team including all the doctors, nurses and receptionists! I agree with some of the comments below - their service may not be as “amazing” as used to be in terms of accomodating an appointment request etc but I’m afraid it’s happening everywhere in Auckland now. But despite that, overall the team is always lovely and caring. My daughter and I are so thankful. I moved to East Auckland last year and have no plans moving my GP! Thank you team!
