First time guest here. Disappointed. He came back dirty, which is 100% fine. But poo all over him ( even on the front legs !!), that is a no no. The lady kept referring him as a she, after spending 3 days with him. Red flag right there. Not going back.
Our favourite place to send our doggo when whenever we go on holiday. The owners of Country Retreat are outstanding and our doggo always has the best of times when staying here. We love it so much that we travel all the way from South East Auckland just so our doggo can stay here, even if it is just for a weekend trip.
Run by a small group of genuine, authentic good people, these kennels are clean, well maintained and cared for. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Country Retreat as a place to find your next furry family member.
They do an amazing job just wish I was young enough to help out.

Great working staff big heart, so committed to the dogs. We adopted one puppy from them. It’s doing great. They also provide boarding services for dogs
Our doggy had a week long stay and loved it! Being a little timid by nature and not use to being in a boarding kennel, I was bit worried she wouldn't be happy. But on the third day I received a recording of her (a lovely surprise) playing with the other dogs and looking very happy around the humans too! She also bunked in with a buddy she'd made which I think is a great idea. Country Retreat For Dogs went beyond my expectations and I highly recommend them. Such friendly people and a clear love for animals.
