I have been visiting this place for more than 20 years and now I can definitely say that quality and quantity have been gradually deteriorating.I ordered paneer pakora which were really very hard and more like a rubber. The quantity of Gajar halwa per serving is too little and no way it was 130 grams per serving . The take away quantity is much less for every dish what you get at dine in. I suggest you check the quantity carefully before you leave the premises. Ordering through Uber eats might not be a good idea.I have been very regular at this place but I have to write this review with heavy heart. Any way you donβt get what you pay. It is really disappointing and painful to see the gradual decline. I brought this into the notice of Mr.Ravi Aggarwal at the Shop and he promised to sort it out which was the only consolation and I would strongly recommend dine in. 26 th September I had to order again in a hurry as I had my friend coming at a very short notice and one item ,a bread pakora was shocking and it was dripping oil as visible from the pictures and the reason being that it was refried , Very unhealthy to eat it and I had to throw it. Very shocking and I have finally decided not to buy from this shop . I had to use so many tissues to soak the oil As visible from the pictures.

I recently bought an Aloo Pyaaz Kachori from this shop and was quite disappointed. There was barely any masala inside β just a thin layer of haldi and a few potato chunks. I showed this to the staff and the manager, but they simply said they source the kachoris from a vendor and canβt do anything about it. When I asked for compensation or a replacement, the manager refused and kept arguing instead of trying to resolve the issue. They run the shop under the name Bikaner Wala but the taste doesnβt match authentic Bikaneri flavours β itβs more like Gujarati or South Indian style, which is not what you expect when buying a Rajasthani kachori. Not recommended if youβre looking for real Bikaneri taste. Only the samosas here are worth trying β theyβre actually good.

Good quantity and quantity food. We went for chat only, samosa chat was good size, and panipuri was authentic in test, loved Rasmalai as desert, and highly recommend to try Rasmalai at least once from this place Good service and waiting time were reasonable for weekend lunch timing. Music and lighting added quality to time spent here

I went with my friends there were 6 of us. We all were so excited to have chole bhature. It was awful. Chole was too salty and bhature didnt taste good. I have tried dosa from there before and it was good but Chole bhature was not up to the mark.

First, just like any Indian sweet shop their sweets are super priced. Secondly, bought some sweets and milk sweet/burfi today. Other sweets were ok but burfi was expired and smelled horrible. Wonder if they ever check it..

Been to christchurch branch a few times, so had high expectations visiting this place. Turned out to be a huge disappointment. I had to cancel my Chaat orders after looking at the hygiene of Chaat stall. Other hot foods tasted very bad too. Bought sweets which are the only positive. Can see the condition of freezer where the ice creams are stored in the photo(rusty/mouldy?). Wondering how this place still has a license to operate.

Absolutely SHOCKING!! Let's not talk about the food and about the pricing. Yes i understand inflation but this place is a total rip-off. Plenty of veg restaurants in the vicinity and some run by families and the food is a lot tastier and cheaper. The lady behind the counter wasn't very professional and not at all friendly. The people behind the counters have all sorts of things on their shirts and cloth especially they are wearing black coloured cloths so when they get curry stains its very evident.. not at all clean .Avoid if possible! Wouldn't be going back here... if i could give "0" rating i would have done that. Man like the food presentation and taste... nothing is good. Their sweets counter glasses hasn't been cleaned in decades I swear. If you really want to eat from Bikanervala please... please go to the Henderson branch way better. Henderson one is way CHEAPER !!!

Choosing is difficult! The good thing about Bikanervala is that it offers plenty of choices. This can also be what causes difficulty - in deciding what to order! This place serves South Indian, North Indian and Indo-Chinese items - snacks, main meals, sweets.....everything. But only vegetarian. We had 4 different items between 4 people, and all were good. The service was prompt and efficient. The one problem I noticed is that the chairs move on the floor - they seem to dance, with very little friction between the chairs and the floor. We had to be very careful, but managed it through the time we were there.
