Orange brought 2 days ago. On the last 3 occasions I have come home after shopping there to find mouldy produce. Today i saw a worker in the produce section chucking the food on the shelves. No respect or care for the produce. Mostly a good store but the produce department needs to raise it's standards.

Incredibly RUDE staff (especially on the deli counter and blonde lady in the lotto area - a friendly tone and a smile don't cost anything) Also over priced on top of unfriendly service. Will plan better going forward so don't have to use this staunch supermarket and will spend my money elsewhere over the hill where staff are much nicer. Seems like most the "kiwi" staff here have a chip on their shoulder for some reason. Highly unrecommended would give sero stars if I could. Will boycott and advise others to do the same.

What's the point in having click and collect when you dont answer the buzzer, I call online nunber & use still dont answer & I have to go inside to customer service to contact you. It takes you 20 minutes to bring my food? Useless if u ask me .

Sick of the self service staff. I’ve been going to this store for years, know a couple staff whom know me for ages but suddenly I have been harassed almost every time I use the self service. I simply go in to buy my groceries and leave - i usually get a box of beers with my weekly groceries, but the staff interrogate me like officers, on one occasion a blonde lady asked to smell my breath for alcohol which was outright weird. Particularly new starter has pushed me to make this review - a younger bearded white guy whom had a wet foul body odor smell coming from his uniform proceeded to ask me about why my license was meant for an automatic and not a manual, it was really awkward but the smell is really what made the situation unbearable, please wash your uniform and keep your comments to yourself. New Security guard always friendly though

Shop is kept nice and tidy. Layout always seems in flux, probably a little more shocking as I am only instore once a month, a lot of countdown online shopping for us. Would be nice to see more chicken in the 3 for 20 meats.

Gr8 place to shop now that I know the layout of the store. Things are easy to find. The staff are friendly and helpful and even in an isolated community like Wainuiomata the shelves seem well stock and fresh

Always find the prices here very high and service not so great. Attempted to use a voucher but checkout operator did not know how to put it through nor did they seek help from colleagues, just told me I could not use it so instead I had to use it at Petone Countdown. So frustrating, will stick to going elsewhere.

The good: it has new clean layout that needs to get used to . Looks great and highlights the raise of Wainuiomata status. Who designed the disabled car park spots? Who saw the design and thought: "Yeah put the disabled spots for parking uncovered so they get wet in the rain". The parking for picking up online orders is covered! The cars parked there when I was visiting they we're not for picking up any online orders! The online orders should have queue forming NOT permanent parking spots! Parking spots been now updated slightly wider and clearly marked. The smooth concrete outside been roughed up bit so won't be slippery but the yellow tiles for the eyesight impaired people are failing and getting loose. While we brought the subject of inside. Who thought the bakery is good idea to be crammed like an afterthought beside the deli? Missed opportunity to be true patisserie in addition to bakery. The alcohol section is the biggest section though. The car park coming along nicely. Wide enough with good layout. The zebra crossing in frond of countdown entrance is not marked as pedestrian priority.

More than compensating for their delapidated and about-to-be-replaced building, the staff at this Countdown supermarket are invariably friendly and helpful. Prices are competitive and the range of goods and stock levels generally very good. Features a superb bakery, with a variety of mouth-watering treats always on offer!
