   I visited Bay’s Kebab & Coffee around August 19, 2025, and had a very negative experience. The older gentleman behind the counter, who I believe is the owner, looked visibly unwell and was not wearing a mask or any protective equipment while handling food. I ordered the salad with falafel, and shortly after eating I became very sick. It seemed like basic health and safety standards were not being followed, and I felt that my food may have been contaminated. Unfortunately, this experience ruined a big part of my trip. I was visiting from Canada, and instead of enjoying my vacation, I spent the following week in bed with body aches, coughing, sneezing, and a runny nose. Food handling should always be sanitary and professional, and I would not recommend this restaurant to others.

   Best kebabs I've had in Auckland. Can't find a decent equivalent elsewhere. Even though my husband and I live further away we still like to go back every now and then because it's always a satisfying meal. Been going for 6 years!

   Popped in for a quick coffee and a slice of cake. Very tidy premises and the owner/ barista made a lovely cup of Java. I liked the matching decorative china wear, it added to the ambiance. The laying of cup & plate and placement of cutlery by the owner as seen was a classy touch.

   Some adjacent and nearby roadside parking. Easy pedestrian access. West end of Blockhouse Bay shopping CBD. Easy access restaurant with attractive roadside frontage. The inviting and characterful restaurant has an extensive menu to meet most Kiwi and traveller's tastes and character. A childrens' menu complements the dining and takeaways menus. The Mexican Burger was tasty and pleasantly spicy/'hot". Chips were exquisite and served hot. Each if the dishes 'on rice' were tasty, nicely heated and plentiful. Team members were pleasant, helpful and efficient in taking and making up the order in great time.
