Had the salmon steak with grilled prawns and miso soup. The salmon was nicely cooked with crispy skin and stayed moist inside, and the prawns were fresh and well grilled. Everything was served hot, which was a nice touch. The miso soup was light and balanced. Overall, a solid and enjoyable meal β would recommend if youβre looking for a reliable place for seafood.

We returned last night to our favourite teppanyaki restaurant, and once again, it did not disappoint. Takeshi-sanβs exceptional culinary skills remain consistent, with every meat and vegetable cooked to perfection. As always, we chose to sit at the counter, where we could fully appreciate the craftsmanship and attention to detail. Compliments from other diners were endless throughout the evening. We enjoyed the βTaste of Allβ menu, which I highly recommend. It offers a delightful sampling of Heizoβs signature dishes and concludes with an outstanding yuzu sorbet ice cream, the perfect finish to what was easily the most satisfying meal of the month.

We had an incredible experience at HEIZO Teppanyaki. Starting with the friendly service of the owner, chef, and his wife, they provided quality products and great conversation. We were privileged to be the only ones in the restaurant, so we received personalized attention and were able to chat and learn more about the chef and the history of the restaurant. Excellent food and experience, very traditional. Recommended!

We ordered Taste of all for 2. And added fried rice. Started refreshment with Salmon sashimi, Yum Yum Prawns, continues all tepan grill taste ( vegi, fish, Salmon, squid. Chicken, sirloin & eye steak, at last desert ! Rice, miso soup, green salad included, too. I am so happy to order this menu as I explored all taste and find out what taste like. Would help future visits. Yum yum prawns were so good, I will recommend choose prawns and squid each. We chose both squid but should each as my opinion. As Japanese point of view, I feel home and nostalgia Showa era. I love this place.

To experience the Japanese style of cooking food this way was absolutely rewarding. 4 of us had dinner served by the most friendly chef who was happy to explain and chat as he prepared our meal. The waitress was kind, friendly and very welcoming. The small restaurant was cosy and the decor was very well done to provide a Japanese setting. Thank you for being a wonderful host. We have lived here for years and yet this is the first time here. However, we will return for more of your hospitality.

Tried to go to Daikoku, instead went here and was the best decision. Amazing experience, from food, nice staff, and exceptional service. Recommended for an intimate and cozy experience. 10/10.

Would always give this place a 5 star. Went there today for my favorite lunch set which is the Hamburg Teppanyaki. Same lovely taste. Same lovely service. Same lovely authenticity. And the food the doesn't cost the Earth. Try their lunch sets. Outstanding value. Would recommend though they light up the place a bit more. Could be very dark.

Enjoyed a birthday dinner with friends. Delicious food and excellent service! There were a lot of options for dinner that would cater to different hunger levels. They also have a "taste of all" option ehere you get to try a little bit of all the mains - good option for people who like variety. The yum yum prawns were my favorite! We brought a cake to surprise our friend and they were so nice about keeping it in the fridge and serving it. They even switched the light off and added a candle so we could surprise him.

Ordered βTaste of All.β Not much flavour to the beef; only light salt and pepper seasoning. It was quite dry and served with wasabi, garlic chips, and shredded turnip (I think). Yum yum prawns were very good! Other seafood dishes were done well too. Kinda weird to serve vanilla ice cream with yuzu sorbet on topβ¦ Not the best teppanyaki experience in Auckland, I have been to better. The chef also does not interact with you. Overall, average dining experience. The atmosphere and culture of the restaurant was my favourite part - they speak to you in Japanese and the decor was nice. The place is quite dark though so I had to brighten up all my pictures.
