My wife and I had a great dinner at Okome. The food was delicious with an authentic taste that reminded us of our holiday in Japan. The owners were very friendly and made us feel welcome. In summary it was a very pleasant experience.
One of the best Japanese I've ever had and enjoyed so much. I almost went back the following day for dinner again. The sashimi was extremely fresh, the miso soup was freshly booked and super tasty packed with flavour and umami. The beef tataki was done perfectly. Extremely reasonably priced. Definitely one I will go back over and over again.
One of the best Japanese restaurants in Auckland. Each dish had its own fresh and distinct flavor, beautifully prepared. The chef clearly knows how to bring out the best in every dish. Definitely a place I’d go back to!
We have dined in here for dinner twice, had takeaways and also eaten lunch from here. Absolutely highly recommend the food and service. The karaage chicken, potato salad and skewers are must haves and we just tried the pork belly which is now my favorite dish. This is now our favorite place to dine and bring visitors.
Delicious food, especially the salmon sushi - a gift for the table…great value for money and v friendly staff. We’ll be back soon for the 5 combo skewers…and green tea icecream.

Had a fabulous dinner experience here! The chef went above and beyond to cater for some unique dietaries, the food was outstanding, and the staff were attentive and friendly as could be. Will definitely be back (especially for more of the grilled meats - divine!)! Highly recommend
