   Arriving at a large city hotel at 5:15 pm on a Saturday, one does not expect to be greeted by a huge locked door and an intercom. Having confirmed that we were at the right address, and yes, this was really the front entrance, we attempted to engage with the intercom. We could hear someone asking for our name, and then proceeding to read from a script. Unfortunately we couldn't hear much, because the intercom was soft, the traffic was loud, and my hearing isn't the best on a good day. Eventually, some people came out the door, giving us access to the hotel itself. We passed through a dark passage into an empty room with a desk. There was an envelope with my name on it. I inferred correctly that this probably contained my room key. Up in the room, we called the external help desk again to find out what to do with our car. The non-Quest employee read from her script that there was "free street parking". She didn't know what street. We never found it. If anyone has a story about a worse introduction to a hotel, well, I'd like to hear it.

   Room had a musty smell and had leaks in the living area. Apartment is looking a bit tired but had comfortable beds. Location was perfect and staff were very helpful and friendly.

   Central location in a historic building. The room was big and for the price very good. It is a bit old but good value for money. It was quiet and the bed is good. Just small things: The chairs were too low for the table. The sockets nearest the table hidden behind the wardrobe. Very limited TV programmes.

   Couldn't find a huge amount wrong with this hotel. Nice large bathroom, washe/dryer combo. Great hot water pressure. Spacious room. Two things that I identified as problems for me and not necessarily anyone else were the gand basin water pressure went from low to full soaking the floor in about an 1/8 of a tap movement. Secondly, the mattress was a tad lumpy for my old body. As stated these are me issues and not a reason not to stay at this lovely Art Deco styled hotel.

   Absolutely beautiful hotel. Studios are enormous and contain washer, dryer and dishwasher. Not expected when booking a studio but very much appreciated. Staff were welcoming and very friendly. Cleanliness could not be faulted. The housekeeping team should be very proud. Stayed twice on my recent NZ trip. Will definitely be staying again. Hopefully longer next time.

   Well stocked kitchenette. Our room was decent size but the condition of walls, furniture and curtains somewhat worn looking. Staff was friendly and helpful.

   Were tired when we come here. Room was great. The shower for a 6 footer is the best I've had in awhile. Breakfast served in the morning was alacarte and extensive.

   1 bedroom apartment was very spacious and comfortable, especially at such a great price. Washing machine wasn't working which was a minor inconvenience, but as I was only staying one night there wasn't a chance to have resolved. Reception was lovely. Thank you for a great stay.
