My always stay in Welly. Some rooms have been upgraded and are lovely others very tired but lovely and clean. Parking, bar and restaurant on site and a courtesy coach.
The Good: The staff was pleasurable to interact with. The bar was OK for an airport hotel of this stature. Kilbrinie neighborhood with two chain groceries and a plethora of takeaways/cafes is an easy walk to. The hotel itself is located in a fairly quiet area. The Bad: The rooms are dated and worn out. Fridge did not seem to work in the first room I got and the wall heater did not seem to work in the second room I got. Second room I got was not cleaned well after the last occupants. The common areas are less dated and less worn out.
From the outside the hotel looks un maintained and a bit run down. The front desk area is well maintained, welcoming and warm. Unfortunately the rest of the hotel has not been maintained so well. The rooms are a good size, but again run down and could use maintenance. Room was very clean, so the house keeping staff do an excellent job. The bathroom again rundown and with poor water pressure. Hotel has a pool which is a definite bonus. Staff were friendly
Always enjoy our stay here home away from home. Some rooms need new paint and wallpaper and better showers, however they are always clean and comfortable beds. Food at the restaurant is nice and good size portions.
Friendly and helpful reception staff. Rooms are immaculate and a little dated however spacious, and the bathrooms are a great size. Very clean establishment with a very homey feel. Our flights were cancelled and staff bent over backwards to accommodate us for another two nights. Great locality, ubering into the city around the $12 mark and cheaper than car parking. Restaurant menu great, the Osso Bucco was exceptional. Will stay here again if travelling. Staff are a great asset to this establishment.
Great service and very clean rooms. Delicious fish and chips (generous portion for dinner). Equally delicious vegetarian cooked breakfast (eggs, spinach, mushrooms etc). Super conference venue with good acoustics and nice lunch. Overall, well recommended!
Excellent service, great room. The staff at the reception was friendly. We were given a free room upgrade, therefore our room was very spacious. The bedsheets were clean, so was the towels. Toilet was spacious and cleanliness was well maintained. Shampoo and soap was readily available, and the shower had great water pressure and ample supply of hot water. My dad loves the idea of being able to drive and park right outside the back door to our room. They had 24 hours reception, so checking out at odd hours to catch our 6am flight had been possible. Overall, it was a pleasant stay
