Very very satisfied customer! We’re not from Auckland but visit frequently. This was our second visit to this establishment and they do not disappoint. As someone who lived in Germany for many years, I can say without a doubt the food is authentic and represents what you would get at restaurants in Germany. The food was delicious, portion size is excellent and all the meals off the main menu come with a complimentary salad buffet. Salads are excellent, prices are very affordable. Will be back again on our next visit to Auckland.

First German restaurant for me and I have to say: I will come back. Me and my partmer had the plate A and even if it looks big, if you’re hungry don’t worry you’ll eat everything. Loved the sauce and the smashed potatoes, reminds me of my grandma’s one. I like the fact that you have tomatoes, coleslaw and other salads on free service. We also had the tab german beer and nothing to add you know just a tab beer. But the owner is really kind and gave us a good experience. Boyfriend here, I’ve been to Berlin and the taste is familiar. I vouch for this only german restaurant in West Auckland. Traditional I love it

Schnitzel was tough and rubbery and everything tasted pre-made/frozen and just not fresh overall. Pork knuckle was alright, not amazing. At least the pretzel tasted good and liked the side salad we got at the start.

I went for the breakfast buffet, which I had been looking forward to since they were based in the city. When I told them I'm only one person, the owner got really rude and said no, no, no, I can't do one. I can't give one person a whole table, no. No. We are too busy. You have to ask someone to sit with them. At first I thought he was joking, but no, he was dead serious. At that point I felt extremely unwelcome. If I hadn't already paid, I would definitely have left! He huffed and puffed away and said he will look and see. In the meantime I started dishing. The set up is extremely disorganised. There is a bottle neck at the door. There's one queue where you first have to pay, then to the left there is a queue where you find the warm food and bread. Then you have to fight your way through the waiting-to-pay queue to get to the coffee and pastries queue. I stood waiting like an idiot for the owner to come back, feeling extremely vulnerable and standing in everybody's way. That's when a customer in the queue asked if I were OK. I said they are not willing to accommodate a single person, and I have to go beg someone to adopt me for the next hour. They were 3 gents and said I could join them at table for four. They were very friendly and tried to include me in conversation, but it was very awkward for everybody, and I could not enjoy my meal, eating in front of strangers. The food was fine. It wasn't outstanding or incredibly memorable, but it wasn't bad. Mine had gone cold because I stood around waiting for the owner to come back. At the hot selection there was cut up sausages of different kinds, bacon, scrambled eggs, cheese grilled mushrooms, courgettes, fried tomato, two types of baked beans. Then they had different types of bread butter and two types of jams. They had croissants and some apricot jam pastries, cocktail sausage rolls and hash pops. There were also mixed fruit, sliced cold cuts, cheese, two types of sweet/slices, panna cotta, and a chia seed dessert. All of this is served with apple or orange juice, tea, and coffee. It's a fairly big selection of food. So there will be something you will find to like. I did like the courgette, mushroom, and apricot pasty. If I wasn't sitting with strangers, I would have liked another helping, but I was too embarrassed to go and dish more. Unfortunately for me, because of how I was pretty much chased away and forced to sit with strangers, the food got stuck in my throat. It was a very disappointing experience and I definitely won't be back. If you're single, or widowed, or a new immigrant in a strange country, don't bother coming here.

Cozy, friendly and delicious. I’ve been told they’re the best German sausages in Auckland. The dishes are fantastic and are pretty authentic. Waiter was very attentive and kind. Interesting location as it’s in the middle of an industrial park but there’s a ton of parking.” Great place for kids, too.

Unfortunately, as much as I wanted to give a good review my experience wasn't good. Oven cooked fries from supermarket were cold and tasteless, not quite sure what the "Chicken Schnitzel" was about but it wasn't good, and definitely not "German". "Salad" was odd and everything lacked seasonsing. Filipino staff were lovely but definitely wouldn't come back.

Came here for lunch recently. Pleasant place. Friendly atmosphere. Spacious and comfortable sitting arrangement. Suitable for family gathering. Service was friendly and we liked the food. If you are in the area and keen to have some delicious German food, do not miss this place. I know you will have a good time.

Exceptional food. Not good, bloody amazing. The beer sauce is like the nectar of the gods. The mashed potato can't be faulted. It's perfect. The sausage was tasty, well seasoned and made with love. My wife had the $13 pork schnitzel. It was huge and came with chips, sauce and coleslaw. Just amazing.

Great service and great food. Wholesome food at a good price. We were allowed to bring our puppy to the outdoor section which was very accommodating. Pictured: lamb shanks, chicken salad, chicken burger. Everyone loved their meal and not a bite was left on the plate. The chicken burger had a large crispy chicken patty and the cheese was melted in perfectly. The buns had butter (maybe herb or garlic butter) melted in which is a tip I will use at home.
