“I have been wanting to try this place for some time now on my work visits down from Auckland. Glad I finally did, new fav Hamilton restaurant! Service was outstanding, food was absolutely delicious. I had the Turkish meatballs as per wait staff recommendation (I would not normally order this dish first up) and I did not regret it. Portion size was not huge (which I prefer) so room for desert and the baklava and tahini ice cream did not disappoint. You can tell there are some generational recipes being passed down here. Yum!”

“I took a group of 8 ladies to Alpino on Saturday for a Luxe Day Out for my business Her Luxe Travel and we had a phenomenal time. Not only were Alpino great to work with to set up how I wanted the experience, on the day they delivered 110%. The food was to die for, service was friendly and efficient. We were sat in the area at the front that is somewhat closed off from the rest of the restaurant and it couldn't have been more perfect. “Lookout Bar has a great vibe – awesome views, friendly staff, and solid food. The smoked pizza was seriously good – crispy base, great flavour, and that smoky touch really makes it stand out. Seafood was super fresh, especially the prawns and calamari – cooked just right. Only downside was the sauce on a couple of dishes – felt a bit heavy and overpowered the natural flavours. Would’ve been perfect with just a lighter touch. Still, a great place to relax with a drink and enjoy the view. Worth a visit, especially if you’re into bold flavours and casual coastal dining.”

“Outstanding food! The Wontons are my crack. The sweet and sour Chicken is my lover. The burgers here are also really good, and they have outstanding Thickshakes! This is one of only two fish and chip shops in Hamilton, I like and recommend! These guys are a neighbourhood gem and are criminally underrated. The fish is fresh and flaky, the salt ratio is perfect and they have so many options, that you'll never get bored either! I felt like everything, so I had a UK style Cheeky Chinese, with sweet and sour, crunchy chips, Wontons and a sneaky piece of fish. My lord. What a spot smasher!”
