“After living in Cambridge for over 8 years I didn't think a single place could do an excellent pie. Well I was sorely mistaken and this small, unassuming tuck shop has been right under my nose the whole time. This is how a pie should be. Beautiful flakey pastry and tender, quality beef - no fatty, gross offcuts or grissly bits. Real pieces of steak sourced from the local butcher (as the owner told me). If you live in Australia and have come back for a couple weeks and want a decent pie (like myself) you better watch the scales - the food at this tuck shop is just too good to pass up. Well done! P.S. the 1 star review from six years ago is significantly out of date or it's from a jealous bakery owner! Two days in a row of excellent pies without failure and a delicious ham filled roll too. They cannot have reviewed the same bakery as this!”

The place was clean, well-lit, and had a calm, welcoming vibe. There was a short queue, but the team behind the counter worked quickly and efficiently—didn't have to wait long at all. I decided to try something new this time and went for their **Chicken Schnitzel Sub**—and wow, it did not disappoint! The schnitzel was crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside, and packed with flavor. I paired it with Italian herbs and cheese bread, added lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, red onions, and topped it off with garlic aioli and a touch of honey mustard. The combination was absolutely delicious—one of the best chicken subs I’ve had from any Subway. The team also asked if I wanted it toasted, and it came out perfectly warm and melty. The veggies were fresh, and the bread was soft with just the right crunch on the crust. I added a combo with cookies and a drink—chose a white chocolate macadamia cookie, which was soft and still warm. What really stood out was the friendly attitude of the staff. They were patient, offered suggestions when I wasn’t sure what sauce to get, and handled the line with ease. Overall, a great experience. Whether you're a regular or just stopping by, I’d definitely recommend trying the Chicken Schnitzel Sub—it’s a standout. Will absolutely be back again!”
