“Dasha is absolutely amazing and a beautiful professional inside and out. Made me feel so comfortable throughout. I had my eyebrows done shading/tattoo. There was no pain at all, not what I was expecting. Near the end it was more scratchy and annoying but not sore at all. My second touch up session I didn't feel a thing, oddly relaxing if I'm honest. Keep up the amazing work Dasha, I couldn't recommend her more. X I'd recommend leaving people's photos natural though. The photos used on socials of me have been edited and look nothing like my true self.”

I couldn’t recommend Ricky enough, I felt faint after the tattoo and his constantly checking to make sure I was okay. The level of professionalism and excellent Customer Service is outstanding. “Me and my best friend got matching Rook ear piercings here and I could not recommend enough! I don’t usually write reviews but I decided I had to. The lady who pierced us was so welcoming and friendly and put us at ease with great conversation. It was extremely professional and she was very knowledgeable making sure she was doing what was best for our unique anatomy, and let us know we can always contact her thoughout the healing process if we had any questions. Could not recommend enough! It was a very easy experience, it was great! Only thing to consider is there isn't the largest array of jewelry to choose from for all piercings, but this isn’t really an issue. Thank you so much!!!”

“I have been coming to Absolution to get tattoos from Emma (Mckie Tattoo) for a couple of years and yesterday went in to get my septum pierced. The studio is so gorgeous in the Arts Centre of Christchurch, the staff are all incredibly knowledgeable and kind. I've always felt so welcome in there! Emma always makes sure placement and size are spot on and is a great yarn. She's also obviously incredibly skilled - her flash are amazing, but I've asked her to do a few photorealism pieces of a cicada and basket fungus and the lines and shading are incredibly detailed. My cicada is a couple years old and looks almost as fresh as when I got it. I also have just the cutest witchy little kitty on my arm that she designed and tattooed that I always get so many compliments on. My septum was done by Eden, who has an incredibly chill but deeply competent vibe - everything was so smooth, he answered all my questions and walked me through what he was doing at every step. This place is committed to BEST practice and it shows. He definitely took every edge off any of my lingering nervousness and I really appreciated it. Thanks Absolution team, I'll defo be back!”

Nice friendly and relaxed environment, good communication via email re setting appointments and via Instagram with the artist to discuss the design before hand. My artist was Stefania, happy with her work, too bad she's leaving soon but will likely go to Soular again in future :)”
