“My girls absolutely love being here! They are constantly coming home with new skills!!!!no other centre compares!”
“Absolutely amazing Kindy with fantastic facilities. All the kids love it here and it shows.”
“Our son has been going here for almost a year now and he absolutely loves it. The large outdoor play area and lovely flow from the house to the garden is so lovely. The kaiako (teachers) are genuinely caring, experienced, and incredibly attentive to each child’s personality and needs. The learning environment is calm, nurturing, and full of opportunities to explore — both inside and in their beautiful outdoor area. We also love how much the kaiako have a wide variety of different and new activities, both indoor and outdoor, every day! The activities cater to the children’s individual interests (in our son’s case, water play, sand and trucks) while also piquing their interest in new things. The activities also encourage connection with nature and local culture. I really love how they do things to give the kids something to look forward to - snow days, bringing in the local fire truck, puppet shows, marae visits, as well as more practical safety education like what to do in an earthquake and personal safety/body awareness. The kindy has a real community feel — it’s not just a drop-off, it’s a place where families are part of something meaningful. There’s a whanau group and Storypark where we get regular updates and stories, it’s great for keeping the grandparents who are overseas involved in what my son gets up to. It’s also particularly special knowing this kindy has been around for over 100 years! A true treasure in Grey Lynn. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a kind, inclusive, and enriching early learning experience.”
“My child loves this place. Great teachers, variety and learning experiences.”
“I have found Waterview Kindy to be fantastic for my son. Such a calm, lovely centre, where there are excellent teacher to student ratios, they are well cared for, and it’s such a lovely place for the kids. Awesome activities put out each day for the children, long standing teachers who really care for the kids. Really rate it.”
“I love every day at Playcentre with my child. Connecting with other parents and having so much fun!!!”
“Very patient with the kids and a really good teacher, can't recommend her enough”
“Very good location in the east area as an education centre. Support the community for children of after-school education. Love all the handwork by children.”
“Helped us quickly and squeezed us in before closing, late on Saturday and were awesome people”

“My son loves it here. Lovely teachers aswell ❤️”
“My girl loves it there super supportive loves going to kindy everyday”
“Both my daughter and son have attended this kindy and we've found the teachers and carers to strike a terrific balance between providing soothing care and encouraging independent discovery. They have gone to lengths to observe and nurture the specific interests of our children and there is a good number and diversity of carers who have each brought their own lovely and unique personality/perspective to our children's development. The kindergarten itself is dense with a wide range of enrichment areas both inside and out, with play areas including books, cars, figurines, dress ups, various mock up rooms including kitchen, along with a plethora of outside activities from sandpit and swings to a vegetable garden and bug hunting. The carers themselves clearly have a devotion to providing the best environment for our children's development and always present as a friction-free team that nurture each other as well as the kids. As probably most of the kids at Westmere Kindy will then go on to Westmere School, they also organise introductory days for late four year olds by walking the couple of hundred metres to the school and spending a few hours in the room they'll be occupying when they turn 5. In short, exactly the people and environment I'm happy to entrust my preschoolers to.”
“We did Spaced here and have had a couple of birthday parties here too. A really fantastic place with everything a kid could want”
“My daughter has been attending Fantails for a year and a half now, she joined in the infants room before progressing onto the toddlers room, and we have been so so happy with our experience here. Every single teacher that has cared for my daughter has been warm, loving and genuinely kind towards her - I’m so appreciative. I know the culture they foster within is strongly geared towards providing gentle guidance, empathy and being emotional intelligent in how they care and interact with our children. The actual service Fantails provides is also to a high standard - there is a routine, there are protocols, and they following the New Zealand early learning framework very closely and keep us in the loop about how our children are progressing in relation. From the warmth I receive at reception to the support I receive from her teachers daily - I’m beyond grateful. Highly recommend.”
“Great private school with excellent facilities and teachers”
“Beautiful centre with fantastic learning values.”
“Realy nice Kindergarten with a lovely team of teachers and a nice play area”
“A great place for jumping, messy play, adventures and growing. Parents stay with their children and learn alongside them. A typical day at Playcentre would include activities like painting, playdough, playing in the sandpit or on swings, collage, baking, carpentry, dressing up and more!”
“My daughter loves learning from Cian, he’s very patient and in-depth about the things he’s teaching. Great with kids to get them motivated and interested!”
“Amazing first lesson! Definitely coming back!”
“Teacher Meng is very dedicated to teaching Chinese. Before, the children were always bored when they were learning Chinese in other places, but now they are happy to learn with Teacher Meng and can recognize more words.”
“Great ratios, homely feel, amazing teachers!”
“Really lovely staff and very knowledgeable about their work”
“The oldest university in New Zealand.”
“my friend who growed there said it's woderful place!”
“A true New Zealand Icon. Many people "say" that this is where the story of "Evil john" Originated. If you ever took history, you'll know that THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PLACE OF THE 19TH CEMETERY. ALso, while i walkeding past, i dapped up my old buddy St John. Truly just a chill guy, with his THEORETICAL COLLEGE. 3 stars.”
“My child started attending Piccolo Park Daycare Center around mid-January this year. As a parent, I was initially very concerned about the transition period, but the center’s manager, Zoe, and the teachers in Wai One classroom—especially Neesha and Katrina—handled the initial visits with great patience and flexibility. As a result, my child was able to quickly adapt to the new environment and begin learning new things. I really love the environment here. The center is housed in a historic homestead, so the outdoor area features many fruit trees, a vegetable garden, an outdoor play area, and a sandpit. The indoor classrooms are spacious and bright, with lots of toys for the children to play with. The teachers at the center regularly organize different activities for the children, such as dressing up as a favorite character during Book Week, and special events for Mother’s Day. Children here get to experience a rich and diverse culture. Finally, I want to thank all the teachers for their patience and dedication. I highly recommend Piccolo Park to other parents.”
