The booked transfers (pick-ups and ferry) and everything related to the rental car also went smoothly - from the handover to us in Auckland to the return at the airport in Christchurch. Even though the cruise ended at Passau due to high water levels, Avalon well and truly took good care of us, bussing us to Vienna and Budapest, putting us up in luxurious hotels, providing us each with 30 euros for lunch and compensating us 50% cost for days we werent aboard. The ‘Jewels of India Tour’ from which I have just returned certainly was ‘above & beyond’ Bursts of colour, architecture, landscapes & of course the people very proud of traditions & very welcoming. Pleasant & attentive. Ahh the food, so much & soooo good, alfresco, picnic, wonderful. Cuddling & walking with an elephant, safari to find leopards & we did. Magic. Even took in a little Bollywood. How amazing & knowlegeable our guide & along with our own dedicated leader, Jenni we had an unbeatable duo to take us on this magical ride. Again, nothing too much trouble & always coming up with surprises for us. Oh I forgot the accomodation Wow. I want to do it all again. Did I mention shopping?
