“I've seen some bad reviews recently so thought I'd add a positive one based on my experience yesterday. I am postpartum so struggling to find clothes I fit that are affordable. Finally after looking for what I wanted at other shops where the clothes didn't fit me AND were very expensive, I went to the warehouse and found what I was looking for, and they were cheap too. I asked a long haired blondish woman who was absolutely lovely, about sizing, because I was carrying my baby it was hard to try things on. She was very accurate and my clothes fit perfectly. Thank you!”

“Riverhead Montissori is and has been an amazing daycare for my three children. Reminiscent of a kindy, with a well loved environment and wholesome teaches, while still maintaining the child/teacher ratio and morning routine of a traditional Montissori daycare. The centre is well run and flexible, Rachel in admissions is seemingly always available and accomodating. Due to its community values and small country setting I feel that my children have very personalised care. For our family in particular we appreciate that there is always a very calm and happy atmosphere at drop off, I feel that this encourages my children to start a piece of work and allow me to leave without them getting overwhelmed or sad. My children also enjoy the mix of ages within the classrooms, being able to learn from those older than them and care/teach those who are younger. We cannot recommend Riverhead Montissori enough.”

“Wonderful little centre with caring kaitaki looking after the tamariki, our two children attended over a 2.5 year period and were very loved and nurtured through their early learning journeys, they both built amazing relationships with their kaitiaki. Lots of excursions out of the centre, outdoor play and community events. Would absolutely recommend.”

“I’ve sent both my girls to Busby over the last 2 years and it’s been the best decision for our family. Not only do our girls absolutely love the staff, us as parents, have also formed an amazing bond with the teachers. We really couldn’t ask for a better daycare. Alexia and Allie have been so easy to deal with and they create such engaging activities for the kids. Both my girls have learnt so much and absolutely love going. It’s very comforting to know the girls are always in good hands. I can’t thank all the staff enough.”

“Both of our boys attended Stepping Stones and they were always keen to go. I was always confident that they were safe and happy there. What I found most impressive about the teaching team is that they are continuously improving. They frequently seek feedback and try new ways of approaching communication with parents, and engaging the children. Their backyard area is a great example of frequent innovation to cater to the children's different interests and their short attention spans! I really enjoyed an evening event that a few of the teachers held for parents of the older children. The teachers introduced themselves and talked to us about their approach to planning and executing lessons with the children. And they let us try out some of the exercises - it was good fun and a great way to understand how the learning objectives connect with play. There are also great additional activities available to the children such as Playball, Yoga and Dance - which both of my children have really enjoyed. I thoroughly recommend Stepping Stones.”

“An good organisation caring the Southern District Kids' health. The premise is well stand alone with same of car parks plus convenient transportation in terms of bus and railway that can access to many surrounding location.”

“My boy was at ActiveExplorers from 6 months old to 2 years. We moved out west so had to transfer but it is a lovely daycare with wonderful staff, warm and welcoming teachers. We liked their kaupapa and instilling tikanga in our tāmariki, with regular catch up events for parents and teachers that includes nibbles. They are connected to the community and have plenty for the kids to do, including guests who come in including emergency services or song and dance. All the children there are lovely and you can see they are all happy. It’s a lovely place and though it’s on the pricier side of daycares, you will feel safe and comfortable with your child there. Edit: I forgot to add that we were very impressed with the hygiene and cleanliness. You can see they put so much effort into ensuring ailments don’t spread as much as can be controlled. They have a high level of care that goes into ensuring the children’s health and wellbeing.”

“My son goes to Lollipops Mount Albert since he was 5 months old. All the teachers are loving & caring. They look after children so well. I am very happy to send my son at lollipops. highly recommended. They have lots of activities, learning which helps children to learn, improve & grow in all aspects of life.”

“A wonderful and dynamic environment for children to spend their days. My son often has to be dragged away at home time because he has so much fun when he's there. The teachers are exceptionally attentive and helpful with any concerns or questions I may have.”

“I was a bit worried about moving my sensitive 1-year-old to a new daycare after she didn't settle at the last one. But Lollipops Birkenhead has been amazing for both of us! The staff are super understanding and gentle, which has really helped her feel safe and happy there. The teachers are so patient and take the time to calm her down when she's feeling overwhelmed. Plus, she gets to do all sorts of fun and educational activities, even at her young age. I love the regular photo updates, too! I'm really grateful for the caring environment at Lollipops Birkenhead. It's been a great choice for my little one, and I appreciate how much the staff care about making sure every child feels loved and supported. I'd definitely recommend it!”

“Pure Magic! This is honestly the best daycare centre ever. I feel like a lot of parents don't know about it. It is absolutely incredible. All the the teachers have so much magic with all the children. We are so grateful to be part of Starfish family. All the teachers are so friendly and are so good with the kids that you really feel at ease when you're trusting them with your child. It is their home away from home after all. Our boy found so many lovely friends here, we are forever grateful that we have discovered this centre. There are so many activities for the kids and they learn so much here. The teachers put so much effort into their every day. Thank you all so much! We couldn't be happier. You can really tell that everyone that works here are truly passionate about children and really want to see them learn and explore. One owner based and you can just tell how much effort, passion and magic they have here at Starfish. It is definitely a hidden gem here on the Coast. “My daughter attended the Royal Oak Learning Centre for about six months, and I couldn’t be happier with how much she’s grown. Moving to a new country was a big adjustment for her, and this was the first learning centre she attended here. Naturally, she felt a bit uncertain at first, especially since her English was limited and only one other child spoke Chinese.What really stood out to me was how the centre handled her situation with such care. They arranged for a Chinese-speaking teacher to support her, which made a world of difference in helping her feel secure and understood during that challenging time. The teachers are not just skilled, but also genuinely caring. They really take the time to get to know each child and their needs, creating a warm and nurturing environment where kids actually look forward to learning. Thank you to the entire team for making her learning experience so enriching and enjoyable!”

“I have absolutely loved Ako Adventures. They watched 2 of my children and they grew and thrived in their environment. It was sad that we had to leave due to relocating, but if we were in the area we would definitely come back! All staff were amazing towards me and my family. We thank you so much!!”

“Absolutely love Acorn and has been amazing for my 2 children... Catherine who runs it genuinely cares for all the children and wants to make it a great environment for pre school development with the right mix of fun and learning. They have a 4 year old programme run for 4 year olds (as you'd expect) and is designed to get them ready for school with some of the elements of school... this is a perfect intro for my daughter who got an award at her first school assembly for settling in so quickly. The Christmas concert they put on is also a yearly highlight... and even though I'm off work this week and my son could stay at home, he has wanted to go to Acorn to play with his friends each day... I highly recommend Acorn to anyone considering a ELC in Auckland!”

“More than a typical daycare! We’ve noticed that this more structured education is best for our children and they both love it. The teachers are all well trained offering children with the right combination of learning and fun. All children receive meals making getting them out the door easy and I’ve been impressed by the high level of communication from the staff and management.”
