We came right at 5pm when they’re open for dinner, and it was very peaceful. A good place to come for dinner to have your Asian meal fix, tho on the pricey side. Can’t deny that the food is really delicious!!

Nice, yummy sharing plates—plenty of flavour going on! But definitely on the pricey side for the yield, classic Havelock prices. Get 2 plates if you're a big eater. Several people asked about an empty table, but it was apparently reserved—maybe popping a sign on it would help clear that up. Polite and friendly service. Still a good spot overall!
Got given a voucher on Xmas and finally got to try this place. It was amazing! The food is amazing. We tried the Teriyaki sushi roll, steqk pieces, the chicken kara-age, pork belly skewers and the creme brulee. All were absolutely fantastic! Staff was super friendly and attentive too. (Sorry forgot to take my photo before I started eating.. too hungry)
Beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere. Food was absolutely incredible, a little on the pricey side but amazing for a special occasion - went for my partner's birthday. Staff were lovely! The passionfruit mocktail was our favorite and absolutely to die for, no alcohol required.
Food was great, but the tepanyaki beef was a bit chewy. The atmosphere is usually great, but no fault of the owner, we had one lady sitting behind us who was constantly yabbering all night. Couldn't wait to get out of there.
Great experience of fine dining japanese styles. The sushi is expensive but outstanding. Fried rice was average for me and the pork belly was quite fatty. Took the kids and they ate what we ate but kids menu is available.
Excellent food, one of the best I've been to in New Zealand. The lamb was perfect, along with my salmon sushi. This is a "must go to" if you are in Havelock North.
Piku is one of the most famous and popular restaurants in Havelock North. Exquisite Japanese cuisine with options for everyone and great cocktails, local wines and sake selection. Ask for hidden vegan menu to discover specially selected vegan options. Recommend vegetarian sushi roll and tofu salad as well as Yakatori skewers. Service is very nice and super polite, almost feels like you are in Japan. Portions are bit small, so you may need to order more not to leave hungry. Overall well deserved 5 stars ⭐️
