   One of the best stays we've had. Paid $18 per person for an unpowered campervan site, which for comparison to a DOC site at $15 per person is fantastic value. The facilities, whilst basic, were exceptionally clean and in good order. Hot showers and clean toilets were fantastic. Shared space to prepare, cook and clean food was awesome as well. Location next to the lake is incredible. Unfortunately we were unable to swim due to the algae bloom, however walking around the door waters edge was lovely as well. The small interactions we had with the staff were lovely, all of them were incredibly polite, helpful and welcoming. Not sure why this place has some negative reviews. For the cost, this place is absolutely ace. When we next tour this part of New Zealand, we will definitely be returning to Lake Waihola Holiday Park!!

   The environment is beautiful and the location is quite convenient. The cabin is small, but it has everything we need. The bathroom is a bit old, but there is no bad smell. The kitchen is spacious, and the staff are very friendly. Overall, it’s a great place for a holiday.

   We stayed at the Waihola holiday park in our caravan for a weekend. Facilities on-site were all clean in the kitchen and bathrooms. Happily use the amenities if needed. Great view of the lake. Our powered site was perfect for us. Overall a great stay

   Stopped here on the way back from dunedin, everyone (guests and staff) were really friendly and helpful. Lovely welcoming feel to the place with great facilities and a nice local amenities close by as well as a beautiful view of the lake.

   Very friendly helpful proprietors. Spacious with lovely lake suitable for all ages swimming through to jet boating. Amenities at camp are old but depending on what your after as its certainly not top notch but is passible. Nice little playground for the young ones and plenty of ground to run around on, also dog friendly. I would camp here again.

   Location perfect, spent a couple nights here. Tidy place but amenities are dated and need a good clean. When the professionals do clean there is water left all over the floor and slippery.

   Nice setting for camp beside Lake..plenty of parking spaces. Many on gravel. Drinking water readily available by parking . Facilities, older but spotlessly clean. Handy to food store and garage. Good takeaways available..also a tavern with meals.
