Lovely food. Staff great. Could be more up market without all the tvs. Guess it suits some people though. Top notch for Paeroa

Very nice meal. I had steak and it was cooed to perfection. Would loved to have a bit more sauce though. The kids had Mac and cheese and spaghetti meatballs. What made it even better was the kids activity packs and great service!

A standout experience with warm service, stylish ambiance, and a diverse, flavorful menu. The signature mains and cocktails are exceptional, and the staff is both attentive and friendly. A must-visit for anyone who values great food and atmosphere!

We had a great dinner here! Was fairly quiet being a Tuesday evening but the staff were all super friendly and attentive, the food was quick and delicious. It is warm and cozy inside too, would definitely visit again

Average at best, from the barman coughing over everything to the prices charged for main meals that do not reflect what is served. The lamb shank with red wine au jus sauce was more like tomato bolognase out of a can, overall presented well but could be better.

Our dinner was good. Delicious. Steak was cooked well. Fries was crunchy. Service was good. Food arrived very quickly.

The thing that really stood out for me were the 'seasonal vegetables' that came straight from the freezer. Our $20 fried chicken entree was a skinny chicken breast cut like katsu chicken on top of a heap of coleslaw. Our mains arrived while we were still eating our entree. If your food isn't going to arrive in servings, don't call it an entree, call it a bar snack. The steak was underwhelming. The whole main was underseasoned. The salt & pepper on the table were marked incorrectly. The wine jus tasted worse than a gravey packet. Somehow they made garlic mashed potatoes flavorless. It was actually impressive. The drinks were surprisingly inexpensive compared to the food pricing. We left there with a $111 bill. I was actually in shock. I've left fine dining paying less and feeling full. The atmosphere was nothing to write home about. Just a pub. But you're trying to be something you're not. If you're going to serve food from a freezer, you shouldn't be allowed to charge such prices. After reading some of the other reviews, your response often seems 'you should have said something at your meal check'. I can tell you. We didn't get a meal check. We didn't see a staff at our table after they dropped our mains. My highlights were being greeted at the door & being seated at a nice table and then walking out the door to buy food at the lovely pizza place down the road. Can you please let me save you? Don't make the same mistake me and others have made. Go get some pizza a few doors down and save your night. Oh, we also enjoyed laughing about the comical experience the whole walk home. Thanks for the story!
