   If I could give no stars I would!!!! Do not stay here!! Dirty, smelly, dodgy electrics, a ridiculous excuse for a kitchen, luke warm shower, tap fell off whilst showering, shower head fell because not attached properly, no tv service....could go on.

   Well paid for a room, first impression worse than tired! Large room with 2 beds and lots of old carpet! 1 small heater to try and warm room. Then no hot water! " oh we have been having issues" was told rooms recently renovated ( maybe 20yrs ago) pictures misleading, as is web description as restaurant long closed. Outside is dirty and I kept, staff ( only the manager) not nice to get on with. Promised refund, I'm still waiting. Landed up in Cambridge excellent accomodation for $5.00 more and no surprise surcharges etc! DONT STAY

   Lots of road noise all night. I has to wipe sticky marks off the table before I could use it. Advertised meals and bar but both now closed Wifi was so weak it was unusable. I assume the sheets were washed but they were so crumpled and bed badlly made that I had to wonder. Hot water was only just hot enough not to be cold in the shower No option to descibe such a bad motel so had to select " kid friendly" as they probably dont care ... Check your room before you commit and be warned. "Air conditioning" was a small plug in heater. What breakfast?? But the reception person was friendly.

   You get what you pay for, and have to say after not so good first impressions this accommodation turned out to be ok. Yes the rooms are tired and there were things broken but I am sure that the very helpful staff would have sorted them out if I had brought it to their attention. You get what you pay for, the room did get serviced whilst we were there, and the staff were nice and accommodating. I would not recommend for weekend getaway with my wife but this works for a quick stopover on a road trip. Thanks guys.

   Pete is a very nice person His rooms could do with a really big up grade or put the long(winz) stayed in the damp cold musty smell rooms Our room 3 was $120 per night and in honesty It should of been $40/$50 per night Thanks

   Yes the decor is a little outdated and the property is a little rough around edges but based on the price it's a great property. Perfect overnighter on our way to Auckland and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

   Filthy, and smelly, dirty fridge, floors, bedding, furniture. We stayed less than an hour, decided it was too gross to stay overnight and left. Booking dotcom refunded our stay in full. This place is used as govt. emergency housing and the owner/manager doesn’t seem to care about cleanliness at all. Didn’t correctly wear a mask while we were dealing with him. Didn’t seem fazed that we found the place too dirty to stay at. Don’t even think about staying here. It is disgusting.
