Good challenge for my 7 year old but with plenty of stops he made it up, with the treat of going down the chairlift....for free!

This was a nice and easy walk. There’s a bit of uphill, but it’s manageable and makes for a good workout. It took us about an hour and a half from the car park (walking slowly and stopping for photos). The highlight was definitely taking the free lift back down!

Was a great walk up, recommend bringing stable shoes especially if there has been rain recently as it can get quite slippery. Busy track so have to watch out for bikers. Enjoyed taking the chairlift down.

Really nice walk up to the top of the adventure park! Can be quite steep at places especially as you head towards the end. We visited just after the park had re-opened from the recent Port Hill fires and we stopped off to look at the full extent of the damage caused by the fires earlier in the year. No cafe or anything like that to be found at the top but great views that rival the views from the Christchurch Gondola. You're even able to have a free ride down on the chairlift if you've managed to make it up to the top!

My regular local ramble. Very popular with great city and harbour views. On a clear day you can see the snowy peaks beyond Kaikoura, 200km to the north.

Great walking tracks ,can get very bussy With mounting bikes ,but still very scenic and plenty of space well worth a visit

Really tough work for anyone without a decent fitness level as it is uphill 90% of the way! But so worth the work and you’ll be rewarded with a fabulous chairlift ride down. It is also very open so remember to slather yourself in sunscreen before going.

Good walk up, wear sun screen as I now have red/tan ' sun socks'. Awesome spots along the way to stop for photos and water breaks. Took me 1.5 hours with many stops to both have water and die (while also questioning the crazy mountain bikers and runners going up). There isn't much at the top, just the chairlift and a few tourist signs so take plenty of water and snacks.
