Absolutely loved the gol gappa here! The flavours were perfectly balanced — crispy puris, tangy water, and fresh fillings that reminded me of authentic Indian street food. The staff were friendly and the place had a really warm, welcoming vibe. Definitely one of the best spots in town for a real taste of India. Highly recommended
We ordered alot of dishes pike Amritsari Kulcha, Chholle Bhature, Paraanthas, Chai and everything was just perfect, we loved it, best in christchurch, some places are just famous but not good food but 29Sweets is famous but they are really serving great authentic Indian taste. We were at 29sweets about 2.5 months ago from wanaka and I'm blown away by the exceptional dining experience at 29 sweets ! This 100% pure veg and vegan restaurant exceeded my expectations in every way. The prices are incredibly affordable, but the quality is top-notch. We stayed in Christchurch for 3days and we tried almost many dishes, and sweets as well and was not only delicious but also expertly prepared with fresh, vibrant ingredients. The service was warm and attentive, the atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it perfect for any occasion. As a 100% pure vegetarian it's often challenging to find restaurants that cater to my dietary needs, but 29sweets truly shines. The menu offers a diverse range of innovative and mouth-watering options that are sure to satisfy any palate. I'm excited to try more of their offerings. Five stars isn't enough – I'd give it ten stars if I could! Highly recommended for anyone looking for amazing veg and vegan food at an unbeatable price.
If you are in Christchurch and looking for Indian food options, 29 sweets is the best. I had my dinner yesterday and I really enjoyed it. They have variety of sweets too. Overall it is the combination of a quick service, tasty food and reasonable price.
Tried the buffet today and it did not disappoint us at all. Food was very fresh and good variety. The staff was very helpful explained us the menu on our arrival and once we started dining asked if we wanted fresh naan breads etc as well. The dining area and cutlery was nice and clean as well. Have also done take away preciously and it was as delicious as well. Will be surely returning back to try other things on menu. Thanks
Super delicious food. I ordered the lemon coriander soup, veg momos and special noodles. All the food was delicious. Would happily go again
