   Unfortunately this is the 2nd time i’ve had an unpleasant experience at this muffin break. The so called “Ham and Cheese” muffin, had no cheese, not even any sprinkled on top like other Muffin Breaks and also had barely any ham in it. It also tasted stale. The Chocolate Frappe seemed to just be ice with enough chocolate syrup to give it a brownish colour. With zero chocolate taste to it. However, I will admit that the service was fast, the area wasn’t as busy as I’ve found it to be in the past, but the staff weren’t particularly fond of speaking, more so taking the order as fast as possible and then paying and leaving.

   Unfortunately this was my worst muffin break experience. Scone was flat and tasted like cardboard, mixed berry muffin was just a standard blueberry muffin with a strawberry on top. Coffee was good though. Not good for the muffin break name

   Hidden Gem in the Heart of the Mall – A Must-Visit! I stumbled across this coffee shop during a casual trip to the mall, and honestly, I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. This place is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with the rich aroma of freshly ground coffee and the warm, inviting vibe that just makes you want to stay a while. The coffee? Next-level. Whether you're a latte lover, cold brew enthusiast, or espresso purist, they’ve absolutely nailed it. Smooth, balanced, and brewed with real care — you can taste the quality in every sip. I had the Flat White and my wife had Mocha, and it was hands-down one of the best I’ve had anywhere. But it’s not just about the drinks. The atmosphere is cozy and stylish, with plenty of seating to relax, catch up with friends, or get some work done. The staff are incredibly friendly — genuinely passionate about what they do and always happy to make recommendations if you’re not sure what to order. Also worth mentioning: the muffins and scones are chef’s kiss. Perfectly paired with the coffee, and clearly made with the same attention to quality. In a mall full of big chain options, this independent coffee shop is a breath of fresh air. Support local, drink great coffee, and do yourself a favor — check this place out. You won’t regret it.

   The ham cheese tomato toastie they served me I believe was old. Tomato was all shrivelled up and tasted funny. Cheese scone tasted stale and old. Mocha tasted too sweet and appeared to not have any coffee despite asking for an extra shot.

   Great tasting coffee, specially white chocolate late is my go to and always taste amazing, staff is friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommend getting your coffee fix here

   went to muffin break northlands. ordered an iced chai which was still warm, and literally all milk, and a mango smoothie which was overpowered with a banana taste. muffins were served with butter in a squeeze packet but not warm? looked like they had been sitting there for a while. girl was by herself a d seemed like she didn’t want to be there and then was mopping while customers were waiting. would not recommend!!

   Dreadful service with food prep! If you like food hot and cold coffee come here. Watched my coffee sitting on the counter while other orders (uber eats which is fine) and dine in customers food prepped first. While bagel cooking and coffee cooling no sign of getting the filling ready. Even the barista is giving sympathetic smile. I just let,

   Muffin Break at Papanui was a very disappointing stop. The cups had lipstick on them and the tea pots had stuff stuck to them showing on the photos (it could be removed scratching it with a card). The muffins was heavy and dough-y. Lacking flavour and appeal.
