Monster Chicken Hagley delivers a coffee‑and‑cabinet line‑up that’s straight to the point. Coffee pours are consistent and well textured. Plates offer plenty without weighing things down. Front‑of‑house runs with calm, helpful energy. Value feels fair for the quality.
The food was amazing. We ordered the Monster Platter and it was the best thing ever. The portion sizes of the food was good and would recommend getting the Monster Platter if you're with friends. Overall the whole atmosphere of the place was nice and staff are super friendly.
Visited last weekend and there was a handful of parking spaces available when got inside the interior looked clean, and there was plenty of tables available to choose from. For drinks, I ordered coke and a oreo milkshake. The milkshake came in a little mason jar, and oreo flavor was diluted with milk, so was pretty mid. For food I ordered the Monster Platter which includes 2 choice of fried chicken (garlic and parmesan), 4 garlic bread, potato fries, cabbage salad, aioli and monster pickle. The chicken was delicious and flavorful and all the sides complimented each other. The only criticism I had was the pickle wasn't chilled, came out room temperature. Beyond the service being average, I left very satisfied.
We visited Monster Chicken in Christchurch and tried their Chilli Bang Bang Hot Korean Chicken and waffle fries. The chicken wasn’t as spicy as we expected for a “hot” option, but it was still tasty. The waffle fries were nice too. The place has good indoor seating and is worth a one-time visit to try something different.
Yummy chicken if bought in the restaurant itself. Ordered on uber for the first time and it was disappointing. My order did not look like the one on the app. My order didn’t even have corns as expected for $26 on uber - totally not worth it. Good fries though
The chicken here is sooooo yummy, it is extremely flavourful! The mango bingsu was also quite delicious, just make sure to share it with 2-3 people as it is quite a generous portion - unless you think you can manage yourself!! The kimchi fried rice was also really yummy, the spring onion pesto was unique and added a nice flavour to it!
Wanted to try Monster Chicken from a long time. Went with friends and tried their Monster Chicken platter which was $65. Absolutely good value for money. The platter Can serve upto 3 or 4 people. Different seating options available. Parking is at the back side of the building. Overall 4/5.
Searching by google for the best chicken references, we arrived at this place that we loved for the variety and prices. The portion is very good and the food delicious. Very friendly staff. Recommended 100%
Great place to chill with huge variety of chicken flavour. Featuring in house beer and many drinks , chicken wing taste delicious too. Friendly staff and nice dining experience. Will come back to try other flavour again.
