Unfortunately food was not at all appealing. Cabinet food only available but menu board was on display. Food in Cabinet was dry looked aged and certainly not at all appertising. Will not be back for lunch sadly. Previously had great experiences but not last Friday lunchtime.

Amazing experience here! Best local coffee / brunch spot and best venue for our Dec 2023 Christmas Party - we had a wonderful Christmas party afternoon tea for 20 and it was a huge hit with all the team and reasonably priced. I go past this stunning golf club every morning on my walk and discovered the cafe from the sign at the entrance saying the cafe is open to the public - previously coffee culture was my go to but Links is way better! It has a great vibe, lots of fun members buzzing on a sunny golf day and the FOOD IS FABULOUS and the staff are very efficient and friendly and the hours are long to cater to the fussy members no doubt ha! The onsite chef makes all the difference and it is fantastic - I think this is why a lot of the food which is made onsite fresh is why it is so good here (most cafes order in their food) - my favourites include the quiches and fresh daily cakes with coffee and my all time go to is the chocolate Afghans - they are the best and generous not stingy so I often get one to takeaway for my Dad (his favourite)! There are lots of your classics from the counter cabinets and also a good selection to order from on the menu so something for everyone. They also have a well stocked bar so on the hot sunny days it is lovely to sit on the terrace with a drink and watch the golfers play whilst enjoying the air-con if too hot or the warmth outside in the sun. BEST CHRISTMAS VENUE: We hosted my Mum's Charity Shop's work Christmas function here and the service was incredible. We dealt with the specialist functions guy and he took us through the type of menus / pricing options and was very helpful with accommodating where we wanted to sit and letting us know what were the more quiet days (this suited us) - and we opted for the main area with views over the beautiful golf course. On the actual day the tables were set up beautifully with a wonderful tea and coffee station next to our area and the staff were so amazing and kind and attentive. They didn't rush us out and we added Christmas decorations to the table so that it was very Christmassy and the food platters were stunning & delicious and there was more than enough food for everyone. In fact some of our attendees were looking into hosting private family afternoon teas there as they loved it so much - it is very polished and chic so you feel like you are having a lovely experience / special occasion. I'll post some photos but absolutely recommend this place and a huge shout out to the staff there for making every experience and especially our Christmas one absolutely fabulous - think they are already planning to go back there next year for their 2024 Christmas function. Don't take my word for it - as a member of the public you can just wander in any day of the week to check it out for yourself and we dealt with Rick in the office when sorting what type of function we wanted (think he is in charge of all events / functions and he is excellent). Anyway we were very grateful - I'll post some photos of the day and we absolutely recommend it to anyone! Xx

I was looking forward to catching up with some friends at this cafe with the lovely green outlook. But unfortunately I had booked for a table to host a few of us. No table set up as arranged over the phone. The lady reluctantly put some tables together as if it was problem. A couple bits of our order was missed. Hardly anyone was dining at the time. Unfortunately if you have any allergies or intolerances you may not get many options or plan B's in this regard. For high dining- I was greatly disappointed.

A friend of mine recently recommended this Cafe to me which is part of the Christchurch Golf Club. I always assumed that such facilities were exclusively only for the golfers however I was pleasantly surprised when others told me that they had visited the cafe on an instinctive whim of curiosity. The cafe is bright and breezy and even if you're not a golfing aficionado you'll still be left breathless by the panoramic views of the course itself. There are multiple screens in the cafe some showing sports while others show in a screens saver slide like manner the bedazzling charm, charisma and characters of the club. The members we encountered were all very friendly and welcoming and our waiter and other staff were a delight. There is A stellar assortment of both alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages and we were sparingly satisfied with our rich velvety lattes which were companioned by two lovely moist and flavoursome bacon and avocado muffins which were substantial in size and texture and gregariously accompanied with a generous amount of butter reeeeaaaal NZ butter too. An impeccable and polished service
