Grey St Kitchen delivers a coffee‑and‑cabinet line‑up that’s straight to the point. Eggs land on point and toast keeps its crunch. The team keeps things friendly and organised. Wait times are contained even when busy. Coffee pours are consistent and well textured.
I ordered a Medium Trim Mocha with a Cheese and Paprika Scone. Coffee was very average, tasted like warm milk with no hint of chocolate. Medium size is more of a small size which is probably standard for the Cafe Industry now. Cheese Scone was delish though. Crispy on the edges and fluffy on the inside….
Paid a hefty price for mediocre 'large' (served in a long black small cup) oat milk latte, and a medium muffin size so so carrot cake. Nothing quality or exceptional at all. Far too over priced for what you get. $16!!
Absolutely in love with this Hamilton Icon , after many recommendations the food & service didn’t disappoint. Our food did take a little bit longer than expected to get to us , but I’ll attribute this the regular Sunday morning rush. The food was stellar !! , eggs cooked perfectly, chicken was succulent & the Waffle fries … to die for. Definitely I place for staple cuisine, for food you know you will enjoy. The cafe provides a warm atmosphere that is showered by natural light akin to the large front facing windows. Its interior is simple and clean with fresh flowers on display.
It didn't disappoint at all! The overall experience was excellent. I came here on a friend's recommendation, but I didn't expect it to suit my taste so well. It was a pleasant surprise.
First time here and the food and service was beautiful. The cabinet and menu both had exciting options and flavour profile. Elevating your classic normal dishes. Kids meal was pretty and came withbthe best smokey, thick cut streaky bacon. I was impressed when the staff went out of their way to request feedback for their new winter "bread and butter" French toast. Shows that they really care about your experience, and it was how it looks- a delight!

Unfortunately, I can't give a comment on their food. I went in over the weekend to have a coffee and a waffle. The coffee was good. However, the waffle was a store bought Toscano brand. I occasionally would buy them myself for home... it would have been better to have a freshly made waffle.
Coffee was good, friendly vibe!! We were in a hurry so couldnt try the food but it looked so nice!!! Will be back if theres a chance :) . . . . Personally I dont think Boring Oat Milk matches well with the coffee but the regular flat white was yum :)
One of the best places for a decent coffee in Hamilton East, and there is a fair bit of competition! They have a decent cabinet selection for quick lunches. But my favourite thing is a longer lunch, ordering something delicious off the menu. Another place that changes up their menu seasonally which adds to the excitement for me. I love a new menu.
