   We arrived at Markyles for a late Sunday lunch, didn't realize it was the end of service, but the hospitality was still great and no pressure to leave! We were treated to delicious food and great coffee. The lamb salad was so delicious and considering the current cost of food it was reasonably priced. We will definitely be back! ☺️

   My partner and I visited this café for lunch a few weeks ago, not realising we had come in just before closing time, but the staff were still incredibly accommodating and happy to serve us. The service was great, and the man at the counter was very friendly and welcoming. We ordered the bacon eggs benedict and the French toast, and both dishes were beautifully presented. The poached eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly. The potato rosties that came with the eggs bene could have used a little more crisp on the edges, but the flavour of the rostie itself was great - given that it was near closing time, we really appreciated the effort and quality of the meal. Overall, we had a lovely experience - great food, friendly service, and a very welcoming atmosphere.

   Had the mince on toast, and it was probably the best breakfast I’ve had on our NZ trip so far. Amazing! Also the deluxe hot chocolate did not disappoint. We’ll probably come back again tomorrow morning before leaving Hamilton.

   Came for lunch today, had the creamy mushrooms on toast...Yum!! Tasty, a decent size and my toast was crunchy, just as i like it. A busy little place, but received our coffees and food with little waiting. Definitely return, good service, yummy food and good price :) Can.t complain at all :)

   This was my first time eating at Markyles, and I am happy to say I will return the next time I am in Hamilton. The food was stunning, not too big but a perfect portion of deliciousness. I had the Markyles Full Eggs Benedict. The hash cakes were perfectly flavoured as was the on point Hollandaise. The eggs spewed forth luscious golden yolk that complemented the whole dish. The latte was silky and flavourful and finished off the meal perfectly. Thank you Markyles!!!!! Looking forward to venturing back!

   A random find, a real hole in the wall. We would have missed it if not for the special rate in their roasted pumpkin & carrot soup at $16 (which 2 can actually share if you’re in for a light meal) advertised through a humble board sign outside the store. We also got an onsie benedict for $10 (my partner loved so much all I can here was “mmmm.. so good.. mmm.. in repeat all throughout our late lunch). The coffee was also good. So if you’re around the area, drop by. IT’s deceptively small outside but inside it’s warm and homey. Just a simple restaurant with the basics which in some days is all you need.

   Great atmosphere, really nicely laid out cafe and super friendly staff every time I have been. The menu has lots of great options on it. Definitely something for everyone. Don’t get over here for lunch often but it’s one of my top picks when I can get over this side of town for a lunch. The meals are always so beautifully presented and really tasty too. Some of their specials sell out quite fast too, so I watch their socials to see what’s happening
