   I wouldn’t normally jump to making a google review but I couldn’t find an email for them. We went to Gengy’s in Hamilton last night and while the food was yummy and it was fun to be able to choose what you want and have them cook it, my grandma was up all last night vomiting and diarrhoea (sorry for the bluntness). She said the pork tasted a bit off. The rest of us didn’t have pork and haven’t been sick. It is quite concerning and i would hope they would have better food safety in a place like that where it is quite high risk. It doesn’t make me want to go back.

   Went with family and children had big appetites. They had a great time and ate until bursting! In dessert section there was a strange salty custard with olives. Not to my taste. The bowl of cream was small but happily replenished when asked. Service was excellent

   Went on a Saturday night and was surprised by a spacious dining area, a Raw buffet which you pick what you want , and they then cook it right in front of you was amazing, the aroma was as tantalising as the meal was taste! And the price was very good for an all you can eat! Definitely worth checking out!

   Young family of 3 enjoyed our experience with Gengy’s tonight, in this day and time for a buffet at this standard was very affordable for us, the service is friendly, fast, I must say they take care of your table. The food and condiments get topped up fast. We are coming back again. Thank you Gengy’s.

   Great restaurant which allows you to pick your own veges, meats, oils and spices before watching it be cooked on a flat top grill. Fantastic experience!! Service was great and Pat on the grill was good value! Awesome interactions with kids and adults alike which topped the experience off!! Loved this place!

   The young Maori chef is awesome. He was very welcoming as we passed by his station whilst heading to our table. The male staff are very efficient at clearing your tables and asking if everything is ok. I love the fact that you can pick the ingredients you want & to watch it being cooked. The children love this place.

   My first time eating at Gengys was in Henderson branch when I was still living in Auckland. Second time is here in Hamilton branch. Excellent service and foods are awesome. Lots of varieties of seafoods considering that I am a pescatarian. Still worth my pay. I also love the dessert as well and their pancakes. I just hoped that there will be more choices for their desserts. The only down side was when I get my first round of my cooked seafoods, there was a single strand of hair on it. Also, their surcharge is surprisingly big, which is 15%! Probably due to public holiday. Other than that, I enjoyed my buffet dinner overall and I commend the staff for being friendly. Will definitely come back there someday.
