   I ordered a pair of shoes online from this shop. And when I get them..they’re 2 different sized shoes. See I understand things happen, so I sent them back and asked for this to be corrected and send me the right shoes. And I also asked for someone else to deal with my order. Because on the receipt it tells you who looks after your order. Well..I get the shoes a second time. And this is when I found it extremely ridiculous because they made the same error a SECOND time by sending me two different sized shoes. And the receipt told me it was the exact same person who looked after my order even though I requested someone else after the first mistake. This time though I was so irritated by this incompetence I didn’t even want the shoes. But at least they paid for my return the second time. Was still annoyed they ignored my request to reimburse the first return fees as it wasn’t my mistake but yet I still had to pay for it out of my own pocket. When things happen like this it makes it really obvious that places will hire anyone.

   I am very disappointed with both the quality of Dr. Martens and the service received. I purchased a pair of shoes in December 2024 and my daughter wore them approximately 130–140 times. They were always kept clean and regularly maintained with the recommended leather conditioner. Despite this, the shoelaces broke within two weeks, and now the stitching has failed on the upper of both shoes. This clearly indicates poor-quality materials and a manufacturing fault — especially given the light use (only on sidewalks and carpeted classrooms). When I took them to the Newmarket store, I was refused a refund and told that the shoes were “too worn,” despite being less than a year old and lightly used. Instead, I was forced into store credit, which didn’t even cover a new pair— I had to pay an extra $150 as the range has become more expensive. I also contacted customer service via the website but received no meaningful response. This is unacceptable. A legacy brand like Dr. Martens should stand behind its products and honor consumer rights when faults arise. Poor quality, poor service, and a company unwilling to take responsibility. I will not be purchasing again.

   I was served by a lovely young lady named Phoenix today. I did not end up buying any shoes just popped in to try a few styles on but she was more than happy to help me anyway. Polite and had a warm smile the entire time. It’s not often you get service like that these days. I’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you Dr Martens NewMarket.

   came in today, monday afternoon and the sales worker couldn't really care less about serving us or even acknowledging us. no welcome in or no thank you as we left. had to ask for help and it felt like i was bothering them as they stood behind the counter. we were the only customers in store too. not really the service i expect in any store especially in a doc martens store.

   Happy with first pair of Docs but not so much with the service. We were the only customer there on a Sunday other than one other person who also got little assistance and left with nothing. Had to ask the assistant for shoes to try on and got no help with fit, selection or advice - did that ourselves. I would not mind that much usually, but spending $350 on one pair of shoes, Id like some informed advice with choice and fit.
