Normally have a great experience with Micheal Hill but the lady behind the counter with the full purple outfit today attitude was shocking. No smile no nothing. Was not shown that I’m a valued customer. She looked like she didn’t care if she got the sale at all or wanted to help.
The lovely Judy assisted my husband and me in choosing our new wedding rings. She offered great advice and was incredibly helpful and patient while I tried on various styles. I found my dream ring, and the entire experience at Michael Hill in Bayfair Mall was truly wonderful and enjoyable.
Extremely Disappointed with Michael Hill’s Customer Service I recently received a beautiful set of earrings and a pendant from my husband, purchased from Michael Hill. Unfortunately, when I went to exchange the item—completely unworn—I was told that because it had been purchased 34 days ago (just four days outside their return policy), the store manager refused to assist me. What’s even more frustrating is that I was purchasing another item worth $400, meaning the store would have still made a sale. Despite the excellent service from the sales assistant, the management showed a complete lack of flexibility and understanding of good customer service. I then contacted Michael Hill’s online customer service, only to receive the same dismissive attitude. It’s clear that this brand does not value its customers. For a company with such a long-standing reputation, this experience was beyond disappointing. Recently my friend and I went to the Bayfair Michael Hill Jewellery store and not only were we greeted with 'what do you want' but then to be rudely told they couldn't help us with a ring. However, when an older customer approached the same server they were greeted with respect and the worker was 'super helpful' to them. We are both young (23 - 24) but didn't think because of our age we would have such a rude encounter. I don't recommend this store if you're young as you'll be dismissed and made to feel uncomfortable.
In December 2022 my partner and I went to this store and purchased my engagement ring. It sat in a box for 6 months and then when I finally put it on I lost a diamond within the first month. Took it back for then to proceed to try and not honour the warranty that we paid $550 for as we were 1 month over the 6-monthly check that you have to do, which is so excessive to do for the rest of your life. It was sent off and repaired and then the same diamond fell out again a couple months later. Again they sent it off for repairs. Picked it up and within 2 weeks I had another diamond fall out. The manager at this store is very hard to deal with and lies straight to your face. I am in the process of trying to get a refund, my experience being engaged has completely been ruined by this stupid ring. We purchased the Sir Michael Hill Designer Vintage Floral Engagement Ring with 0.92 Carat TW of Diamonds in 18ct White Gold. AVOID!!!!!!!! Please do not buy anything sentimental from these scam artists.
The nice Lady took the time for my young daughter to choose her first ever earrings. She showed some options and made it all about her. Thanks
