I went in to check out some jewellery. I had gone straight from work and any jewellery I asked to look for the staff kept mentioning it’s too expensive. I was keen on buying but after the way I was judged I was so disappointed. I wanted to try them on before buying but anything I picked the answer was “it’s above 1000”. Just because I did not show up in a fancy outfit doesn’t mean I wasn’t going to buy. Genuinely disappointed.
Probably the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Walked out in disgust. One star is generous.
At the weekend I tried on a beautiful purple amethyst ring which I purchased using layby. Today I picked up my ring to find they had done a bait and switch. The amethyst is a very pale pink instead of the purple I purchased. Very dishonest. I'm glad I wasn't purchasing a more expensive ring.
Friendly and professional staff. They made me feel welcome and gave me time to check out other jewelleries that I wanted to see, without interrupting me.
Only giving one star because I have to. BUYER BEWARE! My engagement ring was 10 weeks late, and has come back TWICE from their crafters with the band wonky. I can’t use my engagement ring in my wedding because they failed to fix it. TWICE. Terrible service, craftsmanship and care. Go to a real jeweller!!
Would recommend shopping elsewhere, untrustworthy staff and very poor systems and management. We have purchased two rings from Michael Hill and when my wife and I purchased the second ring together in Hornby we purchased a lifetime warranty and were led to believe by staff this was for both rings. All of a sudden they are saying only one ring is covered even though both rings have been sent away for maintenance twice in the past. We are still getting over the lack of service and shock. We feel we have been cheated and would have expected a far superior experience from such a reputable brand.
Simon from the Hornby store was absolutely amazing to deal with. He made our lifelong decisions very easy and was very informative and friendly. Highly recommend!
The jewelery is always stunning... but i was very surprised by this sign today.... you really need to check what you write on these....
