   I called into this store on Monday to buy a pack. Wonderful patient service from Pan. No rush, helped me to find the pack I wanted and when I ( and my 73yr old brain) had problems getting my afterpay app to work Pan sorted it all for me. I can't speak highly enough of the service and I'm very happy with the Torlesse 65 pack. I will certainly be back to this store.

   Not a great experience today. We wanted to try on and purchase a $300 pair of hiking boots. Had to go to the front of store counter to find a staff member to get sizes to try. She went to the back of store with us to get them…. Left the shoes with us and walked off. Opened the box to find it was the wrong pair of shoes! Customer service not a focus here clearly and we decided that we weren’t trying again. (Not to mention for security she should have stayed with us otherwise you might as well have the expensive stock on the floor??) We left the store dropping the shoes at the counter on the way out. Staff member simply didn’t seem to care. We won’t be back! Went to Torpedo 7 and found the same shoes but experienced amazing customer service the whole time we were there right through to purchase. There is a lot of competition out there Macpac…. Don’t take customers for granted!

   Wide range of products, nice big store and very spacious too. I was served by a lovely young lady named Pan and her customer service was awesome. She helped me find the perfect jacket for my god daughter and I couldn’t thank her enough for her help! Thank you Pan for making our shopping experience awesome!

   I discovered a shoe had a manufacturing fault since I bought it (at Tauranga) and Macpac Te Rapa were not very helpful as they said it was up to the manufacturer to decide if I got to exchange it. They also went on about how I must prove I had no worn the shoe even though the fault has got nothing to do with wearing and once returned nobody will want it as it has a stick out lip in the heel that digs in.. Macpac Te Rapa asked for photos to begin the assessment and had the cheek to say the fault does not affect the fit of the sole when obviously you can't hike with a piece of plastic and fabric digging into your heel. I decided to go to the Tauranga store where I bought it, and got it exchanged no problem there!! The customer is always right "Shy"! Honestly, what poor service!
