   Been here a couple times and it’s been pleasant previously. Went for a work meal tonight with a table of seven, not very busy, only a few other tables when we went. All the food came out at the same time which is appreciated, but not one single steak was cooked as ordered. I asked for medium rare, received medium to well done. Coworker asked for rare and received a cold blue rare steak (it looked more raw than a blue rare), they ended up needing to ask for it to be cooked more. Mash potato was really nice. Usually when restaurants list mushroom sauce it includes sliced/chopped mushrooms but maybe that’s just my experience. Kitchen closed but they allowed me to order a dessert, really appreciated that! But waited over twenty minutes… had to ask where the brownie was, staff admitted they forgot about it and left it in the waiting area… Brownie is so mediocre, extremely cakey and dry. I received it cold but that’s probably because they forgot about it. Didn’t receive the “Chantilly cream” or the “Wild berry compote” listed on the menu alongside the brownie. Pretty average experience, wouldn’t recommend anyone I know to go here. There’s plenty of better places to choose.

   Visited Iguana many times over the years. Today we had salads, the salmon salad and the Moroccan lamb. We both enjoyed our meals. The service was good. The place is a little rundown though and it’s an obvious difference since it first opened but I’d still recommend it for a lunch.

   After a long and busy day exploring Tauranga and Blue Spring, we were starving and decided to have dinner at this place, hoping for a satisfying meal. The ordering process was very convenient and modern—they have iPads for self-ordering, making it quick and hassle-free. The food was reasonably priced and, although it took a bit of time to be served, it was well worth the wait. Everything was delicious, fresh, and flavorful, and we all left feeling full and satisfied. A great spot to unwind after a day of adventure. Thank you for the great meal—we’ll be back!

   I was extremely happy with the food quality and staff service! We got the Iguana entree share platter and the pan-seared salmon as takeaways (as we were unable to dine-in that night) and were amazed at the quality and complexity of the food! The entree platter came with BBQ pork ribs, glazed chicken wings, crispy halloumi sticks and fried calamari, along with a small portion of chilli and garlic king prawns and salad. Minute attention to details could be felt; such as crunchy, toasted peanuts garnishing the ribs, and small shrimp mixed in with the salmon's chilli coconut sauce. There was so much variety and volume in the share plate, we almost got full just off this! The manager in charge was very nice as well! We will definitely come here again to dine-in next time we’re down in Hamilton!

   I've always loved Iguana but today's experience has been such a disappointment. We had the Pasta Cabornara with Chocolate Brownie for dessert. My son had the crumbed Chicken kids meal and my friends had other meals. I only took a photo of my son's meal which was a big let down, this is a chicken pattie cut in half which we've never had from a restruant, he always orders chicken also the portions are way smaller now. My pasta was so undercooked it was tough and hard to chew, the flavors were potent and really hard to stomach. I can not believe deserts are now $17-$18 it's such a shame because this place was my favorite for good food and good prices but now it's just not worth it. Everything's gone up, portions have gone down. My friend also did not like there pasta however my other friend enjoyed her chicken burger and the waiters were amazing to us. They were the highlight.
