Very flavourful dishes. Authentic Hong Kong style, lovely. Our favourites are egg Fu Yung, mixed meat fried rice (Yang-Zhou fried rice), fried beef glass noodles, spring rolls, and many more. Will recommend to friends and families.
We ordered fish and chips. Ten outta ten. Highly recommend. Crispy and fresh. Not at all oily.
This family-run Chinese takeaway is a gem! The food is always hot, fast, and delicious. The son is an absolute legend, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal!

Small portions and expensive for what you get. Also got a stir fried chicken dish which tasted funky (like seafood) after a few bites so didn’t want to keep eating. Tried giving feedback over the phone they said they never had any complaints before.

Great local takeaway. Food is fresh and easy eating. Asia dishes are very general with not lots of flavor separation that show cases where the inspiration comes from. I would love to see more flavors being teased out of the speciality dishes. They would be amazing with a bit more love of the ingredients. Say more developed satay if ordering satay versus a base Chop Suey across everything. The up side is fresh in season ingredients. Clean and quick.
The Chinese food is usually pretty good. Tonight we made the BIG mistake of buying fish( crumbed) and chips and a Curry Roll. The fish was entirely forgettable. The chips were bland and I couldn’t eat the Curry Roll. It was sooooo greasy, full of rice with a tiny piece of chicken and almost no curry flavour. Lesson learnt. I won’t buy those items again. Disappointing
Well, 20+ years in NZ, moved house up to 8 times.... I have to say this is the best Chinese Takeaway to me. Quality ingredients, quality food. Friendly service from each staff there. Good job. Much love, blessings.
St Heliers Takeaways on Maskell St is awesome. They do some of the best Thai, Chinese and European Takeaways in Auckland. The Gai Sam Ros dish is exquisite. In fact I’m yet to have a meal from here that hasn’t been 100%. If you want top quality food at a decent price this is where you need to come.
