The kopi was perfect. I ordered a cup of coffee with milk and a cup of coffee with sugar. After chatting with the girl who made the coffee for a while, I finally understood why it tasted so good. By the way, their lunch special, curry fish fillet rice, was delicious. It was very authentic Malaysian style, and the compound curry seasoning was great.

Love their Wat Ton Hor with Rice Noodles and Dry Wonton Noodles with Curry Chicken. Very authentic and tasty! Weβve also tried their Hainanese Chicken on Rice and Laksa before and I remember them being very good as well. Decent food portions, they will leave you feeling full after the feed. The food takes a little while to be prepared though, despite being there during off-peak hours.

This restaurant came highly recommended by a friend. While my husband and I only visited once and tried the Char Kway Teow and Singapore Fried Bihun, we found the overall taste to be average compared to other Malaysian restaurants we've been to. However, we look forward to returning to explore more dishes on the menu.

Rang up and ordered takeaway on the way home beforehand for pick up 30 mins later. Food was ready for me when I arrived. Dining in is also an option but the carpark can be busy at dinner time. Food is tasty and good portion size. I did notice that the price on the website for ordering is more expensive, as I paid less when I ordered over the phone

Had laksa and Chendol drink for lunch. Laksa gravy was alright but a weak, more watery version. No boiled egg. Just chicken bean sprouts and tofu. Mamarich laksa is still the best in Auckland. Chendol was not worth $10. Lady did warn me itβs not authentic Malaysian Chendol which I agree, interesting take but was a bit sad it wasnβt the same. Both were average and wouldnβt return for it but might try the other dishes since it smelt great in there.

Since our visit visit, we have been back 2 more times. Each time, have ordered Sambal (we think one of the best in Auckland - in pur price range anyway) Nice decor, reasonable service, food value, nice food, clean, parking available - for us, this will be a regular place

Very delicious food and service really nicely. Han nan chicken on rice is the best dish we order really tasty and juicy. We will order whole chicken next time. Curry beef is tasty also. We put Gu Xing Malaysian restaurant in our lunch and dinner list( the pic hannan chicken is half chicken but still enough to 3-4 people)

Tried this place for the first time over the weekend as my partner recommended it after a few work lunches there. We ordered the Wat Dan Hor (rice noodles with pork, prawn, fish tofu and egg gravy), the Salt and Pepper Fried Pork and the Salted Fish and Chicken Fried Rice. Of the 3, the rice noodles was the best. The portion size was good and for a reasonable price and there's plenty of variety on the menu. Only criticism was that it could have been seasoned a bit more and for the Pork dish in particular, was a little too lean and tough. Might have been cooked twice as it wasn't very hot when it came to the table, as in heat.
