I came here once before and I ordered one of their roti vegetarian dishes and it was so delicious I was eager to try something else when I visited Auckland. Ordered the beans and eggplant stirfry dish confirmed with the waiter beforehand that it is vegan and she assured me it is halfway through eating it I discovered it had baby prawns. Other than being on a fully vegan diet and I don’t eat any animal products I don’t actually like the taste of prawns so this ruined the experience on multiple levels I called another waiter who checked with the chef and confirmed that it contains prawns he came back and apologised and didn’t charge me for the meal which I appreciated. I think overall the restaurant needs to have an adequate understanding of the different dietary restrictions because this could be really dangerous I also think the staff need to be trained in customer service and welcoming manners around hospitality and smiling when customers coming and when they placed their order The waiter who apologised apologised sincerely end with humility which was lovely but outside of that when they’re doing their normal activities of handing menus and ushering people to sit down it seems a bit more mechanical and avoid off welcoming gestures and smiles

One of the halal restaurants in Sylvia Park. However, the quality of the food and beverages was inconsistent. Some dishes like the steam chicken rice and the fried noodles were top notch but some were below standards. Our Honey Lemon drinks were rather disappointing as the lemon was not fresh and we can hardly taste the honey. Could be better with improve quality control.

Very good spot above the bustle of Sylvia Park. Wude selection to choose from - Malaysian and Western. High chair for tots available. Friendly and efficient service delivery. Will visit again.

I recently went to Pappa Rich at Sylvia Park and ordered the Wat Tan Hor. When I asked to swap out the prawns for some vermicelli, I was told it would be an extra $1 because "vermicelli are expensive." Like, really? Okay, fine. The real tragedy, however, was the food. The dish was a dark, sad brown—nothing like the menu picture. It looked like it had been through some stuff. The egg seemed to have been plopped in at the very last second instead of mixed into the sauce. I'm not a chef, but I know good food when I see it, and this wasn't it. Hopefully, they'll get the food right because the place was packed, and I'd hate to see so many people eating... that.

Sweet as spot if you’re after a proper feed of Malaysian kai! PappaRich at Sylvia Park is the go-to now since the city one shut down. Mean selection on the menu – we’re talkin’ over 160 options, from classic nasi lemak to creamy laksa that’ll warm your puku right up. The roti’s crispy as, and you can even see the chefs whipping it up through the open kitchen – bit of a show while you wait. Service is choice too – friendly crew and that buzzer thing on the table makes ordering a breeze. Portions are decent, aye – you won’t walk out hungry. Prices are fair, especially for a mall joint. If you’re after a quick bite or a chill feed with the mates, this place hits the spot. Chur PappaRich – you’re doing it right!

Great portions and delicious!! Both dry and soup noodles we had were flavorful, bring your own containers to take the left over if you’re not a big eater. The milk tea was nice as well, not too sweet and strong tea flavor as how I like it.

Food was OK but service was terrible. It was like the waiters were just trying to ignore me. Press the call bell 3 time and not one person came in 10 mins. And when I finally got someone, they just wanted to get away as fast as possible without even trying to help. I should have gone to another place in Sylvia Park.

I absolutely enjoyed Dinner at Papa Rich this evening. I would highly recommend trying the Sesame Chicken (R08). It was succulent, saucy and full of goodness. The N04 was delightfully smokey, the prawns were lovely and the flat noodles flavoured extremely well. I would also recommend any of their drinks as they have all been balanced and tasty.

Other than the fact that food is more pricey, it’s very delicious and good portion. Service is good. Very spacious between tables, good atmosphere, will definitely come again. Highly recommended

The Chicken curry noodles never disappoints, it's always good! Ordered the Mee Goreng and Beef Wat Dan Hor as well. Good size portions, but the prices have really gone up since I last came. The Dim Sums have 3x choices, but you can get proper Yum Cha elsewhere. Good drinks and dessert options, clean and tidy atmosphere
