We have been to Kingseat Takeaways several times now. The lunch special A with 2x hoki 2 potatoe frirtters and chips is very good value. I highly recommend the Teraki and snapper at $9 each. On our last visit, the Terakihi was not available so we tried Gurnard instead. Very good taste. The snapper seemed a bit smaller this time. Friendly staff and obliging to cook the food to our liking (well done with a little bit of chicken salt) This time we tried the potato wedges with sour cream and bacon bits. A great portion size and nicely cooked. We like the fish and potato fritter batter. It is always very crispy and not soggy inside Thank you Kingseat Takeaways. We will be back for sure.

Absolutely delicious battered tarakihi and battered sausage. The batter is so crispy it cracks in your mouth. I wish the hot chips were more crispy but other than that, 10/10. Scrumptious!

Ordered a tarakihi and scoop of chips. It was bigger than expected. The fish was fresh and the batter was awesome. Service was great as well.

The $14 pack was more than enough for 2 meals. Just one thing, ask them repeat your order. I did not and ended up with more than I ordered.

Great Fish & Chips, Fish Patties, Hot Dogs etc. Goes down a treat!! Always look forward to their takeaways when visiting family in Clarks Beach from Wellington. Roll on my next visit and takeaways.

Classic fish and chips with a good size piece of snapper & decently crisp chips even after the drive home. Not too greasy. Will be going back.

Fantastic fish and chips! Wrapped in newspaper the old fashioned way. Snapper was delicious, not too greasy or salty, and the pineapple fritters had the perfect amount of cinnamon and sugar.

Food (take-a-ways) was ok, the unsmiling staff were not friendly, but it was a pleasant enough spot to have Friday Night FnC but I wouldn't stop there again, which is a pity. I guess they have enough regular customers to feel they didn't need to smile or appreciate your custom.
