   Walked in to have a 6 month old balayage freshened up, showed the inspo photo on the left, Cassie did my colour and I walked out with a full head of highlights (on the right). Immediately noticed, and pulled out several chunks of hair that were 2-3 cms long - breakage from over processing. There’s nothing you can do to fix a mistake like that after the fact, but paid full price, and was told “she did a few too many on top.” Really disappointed.

   I have been looked after by Aone for nearly two years and can highly recommend him to anyone. After resting for years he recommended I go blond and it is just stunning I get so many compliments. He blended it for low maintenance so when it starts growing out I still get to compliments. My haircut is amazing. First time it actually suits my face and the first time my dead straight hair has waves and shape around my face. So highly skilled I highly recommend him.

   I booked a balayage and asked for a warm, caramel tone (see pictures). The hairdresser said my hair had “too many colours” and suggested highlights and lowlights instead. I paid $550 for 4–4.5 hours but ended up staying an extra hour. The result was completely wrong: my ends are cool and almost grey, not the caramel I asked for. Yes I’ll need to shampoo 3–4 times for it to lighten but it still won’t give the warm tones I paid for. I’m going on holidays tomorrow and this has already ruined my plans. To make matters worse, I left with black stains on my face, neck, ears and hands and now have a chemical burn on my left cheek. I had to scrub for almost an hour and some stains still remain. I don’t recommend this hair salon at all. Please save your wallet and time. EDIT: I want to clarify that I have never box-dyed my hair. I have only ever gone to professional salons so any suggestion that I came in with box dye is completely incorrect and feels like an attempt to shift the blame. Although I initially booked a balayage, I did agree to proceed with highlights and lowlights after the hairdresser recommended it. However, agreeing to the technique does not excuse the extremely poor execution or the misinformation I was given. The result I received was completely unacceptable. At no point was I told that multiple sessions would be required, nor was I warned that the final outcome would be far from the caramel tones I requested. Instead, I was told it was “low maintenance” and that I would only need a toner every 4–5 months, which was clearly misleading based on the result. The most concerning part is that I am still dealing with a chemical burn on my face more than two weeks later, caused during the appointment. This is a serious reaction and something that should never happen during a professional service. This appointment has negatively impacted my entire trip, cost me a significant amount, damaged my hair and left me with ongoing skin irritation. I have never regretted a salon visit this much before.

   My first time visiting the Anco studio . Beautiful salon with a friendly environment . Everyone was so welcoming. The location is fabulous and easy to book. Alan took care of my hair and treated my hair to a treatment and blow dry. The shampoo experience was delightful and the shampoo bed was incredible . My hair looks and feels lovely , thank you Alan (love your work )and Anco team , great coffee and amazing hair , I’ll be back !

   I had my hair done by Aone and wow, he did an Absolutely stunning job exactly what I wanted. Not only do they provide lovely service but you get a full back massage while getting your hair washed something I’m not used to. Loved my experience here, beautiful salon also. 1000% recommend!

   This stylish salon is a great find and the team are so welcoming. It was my first time at ANCO and Adrian took time to do a thorough consult and talk me through options. I was so comfortable - both in the chair in front of the mirror and in the massage chair at the wash basin. Great when you're having to sit for so long. A relaxing vibe, there was no pressure to chat although conversation was equally welcomed. My overall experience was brilliant and I love my new look! Thanks Adrian and team.

   Had a beautiful wash, cut and blowout with my senior stylist and he was just amazing! He listened to all my needs, gave me recommendations and was so patient, open and meticulous. I cut my hair the shortest I have ever cut it in my life, and he absolutely killed it!!!! He understood the brief and I am now so in love with my hair. Not only is the salon beautiful, the staff are so friendly, lovely and stylish! Really enjoyed my time here, and if I wasn't moving overseas, this would be my new regular salon! Thanks ANCO!!!!

   Always nervous to trust anyone with my hair. P’kwan did such a good job ~ I wanted extremely subtle blonde touches to frame my face) and we got to chat all about Thailand. It was 250 for a speckle of highlights and toner and blowdry. I had a voucher of 50. The massage chair when washing is soo amazing and you lie fully horizontal. Good times.
