   Ju Lim is a true hair professional whose knowledge and experience is hard to match these days. I stumbled upon her little shop, and she is accommodating and kind. It had been 3+ years since my last haircut, and my hair was scraggly and needed love. I didn’t know what I wanted, but explained my lifestyle/hair history, what I liked and didn’t like about my hair, and her consultation and advice took everything into account with a plan. She is a wizard with the scissors, so very friendly, and I will be returning. If you’re looking for someone who is a master of their craft inside and out, look no further.    UPDATE JULY 7 2023 In response to Hend Elshemy's review. I am here with Ju Lim and she said you didn't ask for a wash and cut. You only asked for a dry haircut. She sprayed your very curly hair with water before cutting it. She showed you in the mirror ro check how much to cut off and you agreed. This is an automatic process of asking as she has been a hairdresser for 38 years and especially since this was your first visit. She also checked for eveness of your haircut when finished. You are welcome to come back and show her and have a discussion about your hair as she doesn't want you to be disappointed. And you didn"t complain or say anything. I am writing this as she doesn't have access to reply to your review. Hidden treasure in Queens Arcade - gets lots of local business people, Waiheke locals and cruise ship tourists. Ju Lim who owns the salon has had over 30 years experience with haircuts and styling. Always smiling, she listens to what you need and does an amazing job. Prices reasonable too $65 for women's haircuts, shampoo and dry. Basic dry haircut $55. This place is always busy with bookings and drop ins so suggest you call for an appointment first . Highly recommended and Julim is happy to accommodate your requests.

   I only trust Ju Lim to retouch my blonde hair, she is always so cautious and ensures perfection. She is also very kind and grateful that she gave me snacks and offered a hot drink. She is unlike other blonde specialists who just want money from you. 2023 has been such a difficult year for me and I only had time to retouch after 7 months! It grew out so much (see the last photo) and Ju Lim blended in the outgrown roots so well. I always get a full head of foils to maintain healthy hair.

   I don't like to leave bad reviews, however I feel like I should share my experience. I asked for a shoulder length haircut and what I got was way shorter than what I asked for. Also, my hair was cut while it was completely dry which I thought was weird, that's why I had a side very noticeably longer than the other. People were actually commenting on it. The lady was so nice though!

   My husband and I came here spontaneously on a Saturday and both got haircuts. The owner of the hair salon really won us both over, she is very good at her craft and had very interesting conversations with us. I would get a great haircut here again, the pricing is also very fair. Definite recommendation!

   Ju Lim is such a talented hair dresser! I love how she did my reverse balayage. I went to a golden blonde within 1 session and paid $300! This included a blow dry, wash and toner! I'm so happy with my hair and feel really confident now. She's also added volume to my flat hair by adding strategic layers. The first two photos are After Ju Lims magical work and the last two are before photos :)) xx
