   We arrived and ordered coffee. We were given a menu and sat outside. When I went in to order the Verona breakfast I was told they were only serving 3 items... Eggs on Toast, Salmon Benedict and something else (apparently not too memorable). *Unfortunately for them, it was the day after the Metallica concert so I think they ran out of supplies... (although it wasn't overly busy). I reluctantly ordered 2x eggs on toast as a poor man's substitute, which arrived in a reasonable amount of time... Less than 10mins later a supply delivery arrived. One of my two poached eggs was tiny and hard but the other was lovely. The sourdough toast was unfortunately cut too thin and became like a rock hard frisbee once toasted. It was obvious that a couple at the table next to us had ordered the Verona breakfast (they arrived maybe 10mins after us) and just after we finished our eggs on toast, their full breakfasts arrived. The man only had one egg as they had run out of eggs, (the chef ran up the road for more eggs) and they soon put that right by giving him an additional 2 impeccably cooked poached eggs. The coffee was amazing! Silky intense and rich without being obnoxious. I waited a little too long for my second cup but my wife was told they only just received the beans (there were beans in the hopper). Overall it was a rustic kinda trendy/funky atmosphere with good music and a pleasant outlook onto K Road. Just a shame they ran out of supplies. Would have been nice to tell me initially rather than give me a menu and then tell me I can't have what I wanted. I'm not a complainer though so my squeaky wheel didn't get oiled... Would I come here again?... For the coffee? Definitely!! For the food, perhaps not.

   well.. the bartender/cashier told me their cheesecake is best in town.. I doubt.. but I got to admit that it is really really good.. it soft and creamy.. perfect texture.. ideal to go with a hot coffee

   This is an establishment on K Rd. And there is a reason for that. Their prices are reasonable. The food is tasty with generous portions. Most of all the staff are super nice and helpful!

   As we discovered today, Verona is also a perfect place to have brunch. We love the vibe, sitting by the street people watching over a coffee. Food was really delicious and mouth watering. We would definitely come back. Eggs benedict were super and mushrooms on toast scrumptious! Overall, Verona is really awesome and has great staff.

   Great breakfast! I wasn't expecting much because of the look of the cafe but I was very happy with the food we got. We had The Verona Breakfast, high quality sausage, great sourdough, and everything else was tasty as. We will be back for sure for more.

   A Krd staple for well over 20 years, Verona is a boutiquey little cafe/bar with wooden booths, outdoor benches and chill vibes. The staff are hip yet friendly and there is always great music playing. You gotta stop by for at least one drink when visiting Tamaki Makaurau (Auckland).

   Verona is an absolute K Rd institution. Hasn't changed in years and hopefully won't. Open till late with DJ playing most nights. Good range of beers, wines and cocktails. Excellent coffee. Food is unexceptional but always there when you need it (probably the only place I go where they'll open the kitchen on request after it's closed). Super friendly staff and everyone is welcome.
