Such nice staff! One of the best McDonald’s in Auckland I reckon. They even gave me a free colour change cup this evening. I find the staff and service here consistently above average and given these amazing kaimahi (staff) are probably paid minimum wage that says a lot in my opinion!
Food was disgusting cold and dry beaf and chicken seemed to be sitting under the heat light for hours, even the fries it was bad nothing was made fresh. I swear we couldn’t finish our meals and we were starving!!
A staff member was super honest, she was on shift at 3 pm on Saturday. Her name starts with a Aer-(can’t say name bc of privacy reason), she added a scoop of ice cream to my frozen coke bc of the 2.70 mcdonaldland shake that ran out, MORE importantly, she remembered ketchup packets. I’m so grateful
Staff members are friendly, patience, accommodating, and work fast. Queue can be long at times. The staff members tried their best to fulfil the order fast and accurately. The food are cooked well, up to McDonald's standards. The drive thru lane is behind and around the Z shop, and they have 2 waiting bays at the end of the drive thru line.
This review is from my experience about 2 months ago. Fries were missing from order. Person who was on drive thru was not happy and grumpy. Macca's is the worst fast food these days. Not impressed Ronald, sort it out you clown.
The easier location in the general area for drive through Macca's however I often end up with lackluster food when compared to other locations I have been to, food is generally colder and a couple times we have had items missing from our order. The staff however have always been really friendly and helpful. I think the main issue is outside of peak hours some of the food is left sitting so that it can be quickly made for an order, rather than hot food you get with a busy location. But Macca's is Macca's, you're not expecting a Michelin star meal.
A+ service drive thru. No line and was quick in and out.
Used as a drive through for now and then eats and some times a last resort because they open late. Its a busy place as always because its in a suburban area next to the Avondale Sunday Markets and onsite with Z petrol site making this place extremely congested with people and traffic.
My recent visit to the McDonald’s on Ash Street in Avondale left me thoroughly dissatisfied. The poor service and lack of attention to detail made it a frustrating experience that I wouldn’t wish upon anyone. Firstly, I ordered a Happy Meal for my child, excited for them to enjoy the accompanying toy. However, to my disappointment, the toy was missing from the meal. It may seem like a small oversight, but for a child, that missing toy can make a significant difference in their dining experience. It’s disheartening to see such a basic mistake made in a fast-food establishment known for its consistency. Furthermore, the drive-through experience was exceptionally slow, even though there was no queue. I anticipated a quick and efficient service, given the circumstances. However, I found myself waiting for an excessive amount of time, approximately 20 minutes, just to receive my order. This type of delay is simply unacceptable, especially when there doesn’t appear to be any obvious reason for it. Customer service was also lacking during my visit. The staff seemed disinterested and indifferent to my concerns. When I politely mentioned the missing toy, the response I received was apathetic at best. It’s disheartening to encounter such a lack of care and attentiveness from the employees, leaving customers feeling undervalued and unimportant. Overall, my experience at McDonald’s Ash Street in Avondale was deeply disappointing. The forgetfulness regarding the Happy Meal toy, the excessive wait time, and the lackluster customer service all contributed to a negative impression. I believe that every customer deserves a certain level of quality and attention, regardless of the circumstances. Unfortunately, this particular McDonald’s location fell short in meeting those expectations. I hope that McDonald’s Ash Street in Avondale takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements to enhance their service and attention to detail. It’s important for a fast-food establishment to prioritize customer satisfaction and ensure that every visit is a positive and memorable experience.
