   I had a fantastic experience at Lucky Star Yum Cha! The customer service was exceptional, with staff being friendly and attentive throughout my visit. The prawn dumplings were delicious—perfectly cooked with a flavorful filling and a delicate wrapper. It was a great meal overall.

   An old school style yum cha restaurant in the heart of Papatoetoe. The interior is old and they serve traditional Cantonese cuisine. It is very local. The food is cheaper than other yum cha places in central Auckland. The taste and portions are good, especially the shaomai and congee. Worth to check out if you are in the area.

3. Mai Khôi Trần ★★★☆☆

   Nice decoration and set up inside, looks like an authetic Cantonese restaurant. I had half of the roast duck which was very nice combined with the sweet sauce. Unfortunately none of the main dish comes with rice. The dish became overpriced once I ordered the rice with it. The lady who served was not friendly nor welcoming. The man had more energy and was more welcoming. They did not serve you water nor checking on the customers during the meal and they charged you for the takeaway box.

   I will highly recommend sweet and sour pork as it is comparable to the best in HK from my experience. When you eat, you don’t feel hard nor too soft and the sauce is so balance.

   No doubt in terms of food delicious this is a 5 stars Cantonese restaurant! Although it's a bit away from the city that makes no discount on their food presentation and the quality. I really enjoyed the food here, every time! The owner Tony is with great personality to be friends with Highly recommended.
