   Had such a great experience at Mini Siam in Takanini! I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and it was absolutely delicious – perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and such a generous portion. For just $15, the serve size was more than enough and excellent value for money. Friendly service and tasty food – I’ll definitely be returning and will be recommending Mini Siam to others!

   We recently ordered takeaway from Mini Siam in Takanini and were really impressed with both the food and the service. We tried the Thai Cashew Chicken and the Pad Prek Khing, and both dishes were packed with flavour and cooked to perfection. The Cashew Chicken had a beautiful mix of textures—crunchy cashews, crisp vegetables, and tender chicken, all brought together with a deliciously savoury sauce. The Pad Prek Khing was rich and fragrant, with just the right level of spice and generous portions of meat and veggies. You can really taste the freshness in every bite. The lady who took our order was so friendly and helpful—she made the whole experience even better with her warm and welcoming attitude. It’s always nice to be greeted with a smile, especially when you’re picking up food after a long day. Another big plus is the parking—there’s plenty of space available, which makes pickup quick and hassle-free. The portion sizes were also very generous, and you could tell the ingredients were high quality. Nothing felt rushed or cheap—just good, honest Thai food made with care. Overall, Mini Siam is definitely a hidden gem in Takanini. If you’re looking for fresh, tasty Thai food with great service and easy parking, we highly recommend giving them a try. We’ll definitely be back!

   My favourite Thai place in South Auckland! The vegetarian options are delicious and most of them can also be made dairy/egg free on request. The serving sizes are generous, and we often have left overs for lunch the next day! Staff are always friendly.

   We ordered via Uber eats but ended up throwing it away because we just couldn't stomach the pad thai. Pad Thai - 3.5/10 Texture of the Noodles was horrible. Super overcooked and gluggy. Somehow there seemed to be no sauce (must've completely soaked into the noodles) so it was also really dry. Strong fishy smell and taste (like they accidentally dropped the bottle of fish sauce in) but also a burnt taste from something (I think maybe peanuts). Tofu satay - 6.5/10 Peanut sauce was yum but overly sweet. Nice having tofu on a kebab stick but it was really tough, chewy and leathery. Feel like we wasted our money here. Disappointing.

   Update 16/11/21: After having ordered from multiple Thai places down South, I'd say, Mini Siam offers the BEST foods! Ordered the Massaman curry today and it was absolutely delicious! Big chunks of beef and potatoes, and the beef was very tender. The curry was very flavorful and rich. Dish might be good for 2 people. Note: the meal doesn't come with rice. Also ordered rice on the side for $2. Rice was perfectly cooked. Enough rice for 1 person. Update: Oct 2021- Ordered Tom Yum soup (small) and Pad Thai and again, both are very delicious! Really big portions! And was so surprised to see 2 jellies for free ❤ Thank you!
