The knife and fork did not wash properly. I can still see the traces of dishwater. I have to use tissue to wipe it by myself. Not sure whether they use dish washer or not. And lettuce is edible but oxidized.
Asked for no tomatoes and no diced cucumber and got tomatoes and diced cucumber. Nando's Takanini clearly do not take allergies seriously or pay attention to special requests. The tenders, fried and bottled sauce were fine though.
Disappointing Experience at Nando’s Takanini, Staff Lacking Basic Customer Service Skills. I’ve lived in NZ for 18 years and have visited many Nando’s restaurants, but my recent experience at Takanini was the worst by far. I placed an online order and went to collect it, expecting to receive the free side offer currently being promoted. However, I was told I needed to spend a minimum of $6.25 in-store, a condition not mentioned anywhere in the promo. The staff member acknowledged the missing information but instead of resolving the issue professionally, she became defensive and argumentative. I repeatedly clarified that I wasn’t trying to pressure her, just asking for what was advertised. Her response made it feel like she was personally paying for the free side. She completely forgot that she is representative of Nando's, not owning it. Her behavior would reflect on Nando's Customer Service. I asked to speak to her higher up but none were available. Eventually, she gave me the side but acted like she was doing me a favor. That’s not acceptable customer service. To make matters worse, my order was poorly packed, and I received peri-peri chips instead of plain ones for my 3-year-old. This shows a lack of attention and care. My suggestion: Staff should be trained to listen, take feedback gracefully, and escalate when needed. Avoiding conflict and ensuring customer satisfaction, especially when the customer is right, should be the priority.
Never had to wait... They served me straight away. The drink wasn't the greatest thou.. didnt like it. Extra hot sauce wasnt the hottest.. 9/10 overall
Asked for sauce sachet for my takeaway. The staff member confirmed it but never put any sachet in my takeaway bag. If they can acknowledge this reply and supply a remedy , Id be happy to rate them a 5 star.
Can't find a minus rating option.. Terrible food now... Used to order quite regularly then due to their uncertain trading hours and frequent closures, stopped going there. Their original chicken used to be marinated overnight and then they would grill. That was authentic taste. Now they just have cut the process of marination and rather grill it and throw tonne of sauce over it mixed with some salad dressing. It's just short cut to create volumes. Both orders were literally floating in ton of sauce and were UNCOOKED. never going back
Ordered a whole chicken. The chicken size was big and it looked like there was less than 1 whole chicken. Would have been better if it was cut in smaller pieces. Customer service was excellent. The new decor was lovely and comfortable.
Bought chicken combo found a little glass piece Lucky came in my mouth and luckily my toddler didn’t eat I’m so scared to go takanini branch now
First time ever to a Nando’s and quite seriously won’t be my last. Nice entrance way with plenty of well placed seating and a condiment bar for extra classic Nando sauces. I had the Burger “Thigh & Slaw” Grilled PERi-PERi chicken thighs, coleslaw, caramelised onions and aioli. Well crafted and easy to handle + totally filled the hunger gap. Keen to try the vegetarian options next time as my first preference. Plenty of parking around the shopping centre and kid-friendly. Yum!
