I would give this pet shop zero stars if I could. Horrified to see their axolotls being kept on gravel and small objects that are completely unsuitable for them. As anyone who knows anything about axolotls can tell you, they should only be kept on silica sand or nothing at the bottom of their tank. It is common knowledge that axolotls can suffer from serious health problems if they are kept on the wrong type of substrate, yet this store continues to house them on completely unsuitable surfaces. If you care about the health and well-being of your pets, I strongly urge you to avoid this pet shop at all costs. The staff clearly have no idea how to properly care for the animals they sell, and it is only a matter of time before these axolotls suffer and die as a result of their neglect. It is high time that this store educated themselves on how to properly care for the exotic pets they sell before it is too late…. I couldn't find any email or contact page for your store, only a phone number, which concerns me as a customer. I visited your store on Tuesday and have photo proof of the substrate in the axolotls' tank.I would like to kindly request that you replace the gravel at the bottom of the tank with silica sand, which is a safer option for the axolotls. It would be greatly appreciated if you could address this issue instead of denying it. As a professional company, it's important to take responsibility and work towards a solution. I hope tomorrow brings better luck for you, and that the axolotls can finally receive the care they deserve.
Good Morning. Went in to your shop the other day and I have to say it was very dirty. The windows were very dirty. 2 Girls behind the counter doing absolutely nothing. They did not seem to know what they were talking about or really answer my questions. Was not happy to see kittens in a bird cage waiting to be sold. Will not be going back again.
A well stocked pet shop. Had a look through the shop and there is so many pet products I haven't seen before. They sell tropical & cold water goldfish with all the accessories. Also hand raised birds & fancy looking guinea pigs
Everything I have brought off Pets North which is a few things now, has always been well priced and the quality is exceptional. I just brought my 17 year old Foxy a bed and she loves it. She has a little arthritis and the comfort bed is brilliant and she is so happy sleeping in it. Service is always is great and very professional. Thank you Pets North
Overall not hugely impressed by the store. I'd call it mediocre. They had a fair range of product from typical animals but none for uncommon ones. The condition of their animals' pens/tanks were fine but not amazing (slightly unclean and too small). Staff were apathetic but I wouldn't go as far as to call them rude. Overall, mediocre but a little bit cold is how I'd describe Pets North Warkworth but good if you know what you want and can run in a grab it quickly.
